When did you start drinking Alchol??

ive always wondered when Americans started to drink Alchol.....im from England and the legal age is 18.....i know in America its 21.....but im curious to know when yous actually started......

i was 12 which is the first year of senior school......and it got more regular and by the time i was 14 it was every weekend..........that is the norm over here....most (not all) are hanging about the streets drinking from about 14 years old...

I was in 6th grade, like 10 or 11 lol. boy was I ****ed up.

took shots of vodka and crown at my friends while his dad was gone. haha...kidss.....

I meant to say (was on the phone while typing), I blacked-out for the first when i was 16 years old

It was beer and i didn't know what a "limit" was.

I drank on and off when nobody had weed when I was young like 13. But When I turned 17 is when I got in trouble with the law and I had to stop smoking weed because they were testing me once a week.

Then an alchoholic was born (get get messed up some how) all day everyday puking, blacking out, crazy man, it was ridiulous. Calmed down at like 20 or so.

Started hardcore again at 21 till about 24, lots and lots of trouble.

Chilled again then started again at 26 full blown lunatic. Well I have a kid, I am 30 and sober for 2 years, I think it will be for good this time.

I dont like being a scumbag and going to jail, I need to be an adult for my kid.

Some people can drink, I can because it brings the monster out.

I think the first time I had a drink I was probably 5yrs old. My dad would give me and my friend a beer to share and then another... we'd go play while our fathers drank and watched us 2 little kids get drunk and fall down lol

Same here for being quite young. I think I got drunk when I was 11 for the first time. By the time 14 came around it was pretty much a weekend program. Got caught with a 12 pack in my gym bag when I was 14, so my dad busted me and I got grounded, then in the end he drank my beer. I guess it's the same thing today with cops and gear.

Started the year I met my dad. 13 years old. Met him, moved in with him. He was a full blown alcoholic. I would take his wiskey after he passed out sell half to my friends, and keep the rest for myself. Lasted for a year before my mother allowed me to move back.

i was about 16 started getting served and it was all down hill from there,

everyday event it was bad i would get drunk on my school lunch and go back and have a blast the rest of the day,

i had to stop once i started with the hard shit we used to go through a 5th of everclear between 3 people in 2 days drinking it stright, if youve ever had that stright you know its no joke

I had my first drink in a pub at the tender age of 14. My mate and I went to a country pub and we managed to get served. One of the customers remarked to the bartender that we didn't look 18 (legal age in the UK) and he just shrugged his shoulders and still served us.

Onwards and upwards after that. I'm still alive 40 years later!!

I was 16 at the time, was the designated driver to a party. I ended up having my first drink and a friend drove home, 8 years later that friend still has never had a drink..

My first beer was with a couple neighbor girls when I was 10? They where the same age. They stole the beer from their dad. Same age for first cigarette with them (yuck) and we did a few other things kids do who are curious LOL

My real drinking was 16. I use to work at a large Mexican restaurant as a dish washer and had easy access to hard alcohol.

makes me sad that your fathers were so irresponsible

mom would have removed dad's balls if he ever did that to us kids....but she just made him stop drinking after i was born anyway

and I don't drink.....but i did try it a couple times when i was 20. haven't drank at all since i turned 21....i'm 23 (damn reallY?) now
