    Bouncers: how do you eat?

    Thursday night was my first night doing security at a bar/club. Everything went well, only problem was I thought I was going to freakin pass out from lack of food. It was my first night and I didn't know what to expect, so my body was SCREAMING for food.

    I go into work at 10pm and get out at 3am. I was thinking of eating two chicken breasts/2 tsb of PB/and a yam at like 9PM. Then drinking a casesin shake with a bananna at 945. THEN I was thinking of stuffing some protein bars into my pockets and eating them through-out my shift. It sucks because I gotta survive off of strictly protein bars through out my 5 hour shift. Any other ideas??

    hmmmm-- maybe I should have put this in the diet section, hopefully it gets moved.

    Pretty good question

    When I used to bounce id go in early and have them make me some chicken or steak since you bounce there they should be willing to do it just expect them to want the best from you,

    Other then that I would say just pack some things to hold you over till you get done then eat a real meal

    Enjoy bouncing its fun as shit,

    Get any girls from it yet

    I usually eat right before i go in

    Then i'll put some food in a baggy in my pocket or have a protein bar.

    Some of the places i worked i was able to put some food behind the bar and i would go eat some when things were calm

    I dont bounce, but I know what its like to need food like its oxygen. I dont think its going to kill you to go 5 hours without food. just make sure you eat a nice meal as close as possible to the start of work and have one prepared for when you finish. Protein bars are not really an ideal source of protein. But under the circumstances, its something to burn that isnt your muscles. That imo, are what protein bars are for.

    I explained to my boss that I was hypoglycemic and asked him if i could bring some protein bars into work and he was cool with it. I also get a break to eat, and I always get a steak, jasmine rice, and vietnamese scallops. I got it easy, though. Where do you bounce?

    Yeah, thats a good idea. I'll do my original plan and hopefully they will also let me bring in some pre-made salmon or tuna, or something. That will hit home after 3 hours of work. And as for the girls, I never would have thought how easy it was until I started doing it myself. It's almost like they flock to you. Usually, we have designated areas where we stay and cannot move unless there is a fight, I love that because a girl can post up next to you all night like a god damn magnet, lol! So far one night of work = one phone number.

    Much agreed, protein bars are pretty useless when it comes to trying to make gains, just puts something in your stomach and keeps you sane.

    ^hmmm, yeah thats what I was thinking with the caesin, but a whole food is much better. How about a lean beef/ oates/and some cottage cheese moments before work?

    Get a fanny pack with some ice and put some chicken in there. not really but the beef idea before work would be best bet imo

    Yeah bro I feel you on that, hence why I have never been able to get a "real job" I freak out if I don't get meals in.

    Like take this past weekend for example, I stayed over at this chicks house for two days and she wouldn't let me leave the bed, basically ****ing for two days and I only got in 2-3 meals!!! I was freaking the fvck out. I would force her to go make me a meal, I felt like I shrank the last two days.

    Pisses me the hell off lol, like I ate at 3 am on friday then went to the chicks house and didn't get my first meal in till 7 pm on saturday. I was going insane, I wasn't really "hungry" since all I did was sleep and fvck, but I felt like I was "shrinking" because I wasn't eating on schedule.

    thats the reason why i dont bounce. i have to have food not just a little protien bar cuz they really doesnt do much for my hunger problems. REAL FOOD FOR PRESIDENT!!

    Stuff yourself right before you go to work. I mean even if you can't eat anymore, eat.

    Do you have a staff washroom? I just put my sh!t (food, lol) in there, then when I'm hungry I just go, lock the door and mow it down fast. Then I come out and everything's gravy.


    And as for the girls, I never would have thought how easy it was until I started doing it myself. It's almost like they flock to you.     Girls are always chirping about "how hot the bouncer is". And if you wanna just fvck, a lot of girls will ride you just so they can get into the club or have special privileges. I can't even walk through the dance floor without random fvcking hands feeling me up. And yeah it's fun to be posted up, but it gets boring. I kind of like floating better, but since I'm one of our best guys, I always float.

    Here in Canada it's different though. Bars are the same as you said, but in Clubs, especially the one I work in, we have liquor inspectors on our asses 24/7, so the bouncers here have to assess intoxication hardcore as well. We do a lot more than just break up fights and do basic tasks. If you're overly intoxicated, you're gone. Regardless if you like it or not, or if you want to or not for that matter.

    damn dude its 5 hours. What are you going to do when you have a real job?

    When i worked at a strip bar that was the longest hours but they had a kitchen so i would order food or bring something on my own.
