Preface to my upcoming book.
You guys are going to love this. I'm dead set on writing this now with the email I just received!!!! I just started this off with statistics on arrests for other drugs that have been proven harmful and addictive in comparison to steroids . The results are below and the email is great!!!
Preface
In 1969 President Richard Nixon uttered words that would ultimately affect the rest of the world for decades to come: “War on Drugs”. Since 1969 drug abuse has risen to considerably higher levels. The US Federal Government spent $19 billion dollars in 2003. That comes out to a rate of $600 per second. Since then the budget has been increased well over $1 billion dollars more. State and local governments have spent at least an additional $30 billion. Source: Jeffrey Miron, Department of Economics, Harvard University
Arrests for drug law violations in 2009 are highly expected to exceed the 1,841,182 arrests of 2007. Law enforcement made more arrests for drug abuse violations (an estimated 1.8 million arrests, or 13.0 percent of the total number of arrests) than for any other offense in 2007. Someone is arrested for violating a drug law every 17 seconds. Source: Uniform Crime Reports, Federal Bureau of Investigation
Since December 31, 1995, the US Prison Population has grown an average of 43,266 inmates per year. About 25 percent are sentenced for drug law violations. Source: US Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics.
Nearly 4,000 new HIV infections can be prevented before the year 2010 if the federal ban on needle exchange funding is lifted this year. That comes to be 10 cases everyday. Source: center for AIDS Prevention Studies, University of California, San Francisco From 1982-2007 arrests for heroin and cocaine have risen from 150,000 to well over 500,000. Arrests for Marijuana have risen from 500,000 to 850,000.
I emailed the US Department of Justice to get statistics of how many people are arrested for possession or manufacture of anabolic steroids each year to make a comparison to the statistics from above because I did not find them on their list of statistics on their website. They responded within 30 hours with a short email on the matter. “There is such a minuscule amount of arrests for anabolic steroids that we feel there is no need to report this matter on a yearly basis as it does not seem to pose a surreal threat.” I emailed them back to ask why so much emphasis is placed upon anabolic steroid laws , and I received no response back.

Thank you! I believe that the first few pages are critical because if those suck, the rest of the book is believed to suck too. I'm working on a general outline right now and deciding what chapters are going to be written.
I'm thinking just of the first 4...This is just preliminary because I want this book to be perfection.
Chapter 1: Intro to Narcotics 101
Chapter 2: Intro to Anabolics 101
Chapter 3: A Comparison
Chapter 4: My Life Experience as a Steroid "Junkie"
Chapter 1 I'm going to focus on explaining the harmful and addictive properties of the big narcotics and how they can utterly destroy a persons life, family, health, etc.
Chapter 2 I'm going to focus on explanation of Anabolic Steroids and their individual purpose in the treatment of various illnesses/diseases, and use in athletes.
Chapter 3 I'm going to make a large scale comparison between gear and heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine, and cocaine in an attempt to resolve the dispute that just because most anabolic steroids come in injectable form, we 'shoot them up' because we're 'addicts/junkies'. I'll more than likely include a visual chart with the effects of the the rec drugs on the left, and effects of steroids on the right.
Chapter 4 well of course be my experience with cycles, and will include my bloodwork over the last 5 years along with my cycles and lifestyle, my criminal history (none) my education, goals, work history, the events that lead up to my arrest and how it effected me, etc.
I'm open to ideas and criticism this is just again a general idea of the outline of the first 4 chapters. Nothing is set in stone here

With the way your describing it, it will come off as being a horrendously biased book on how 'awesome' steroids are and how 'evil' the other drugs are. Try to give the in depth description of both classes of substances, it will make for a terrible unprofessional read especially coming from someone who is in criminal justice. If you decide to negate all risks of steroids, then book will be a mockery of everyone who isn't as involved with its use such as the people in our community. Make it so it is worthy as being a reference for someone if they wanted to cite the book.

Good luck on the book.
As long as we're talking laws, can i throw something out that's been bothering me?
In the state of Florida they made it mandatory to wear a seat belt. Can even pull you over if you're not wearing it.
Why then do people who ride motorcycles don't have to wear a helmet? Weird.
Anyway, kepp us posted.
