I believe it should be a valid ticket in the USA that if you have an address here you have to speak the language. I lived in germany for three years as a young boy and still speak german proudly to this day, 28 years later and it hasnt hurt me at all.

Word... instead they are forcing English-speakers to learn Espanol in order to graduate. Not to mention, to get certain jobs. It's getting crazy out there.

For the majority of jobs here in South FL, with the exception of most corporate office type positions you NEED to be bilingual. Bilingual meaning if English is your first language, you need to know Spanish. However, if you only know Spanish thats ok. I often meet people that have lived here for 20, 30, sometimes 50 years and don't know any English...wtf is that? I mean, even without trying to learn it, wouldn't it just happen eventually?

Reminds me of when His Greatness Arnold told the people of California that they should immerse themselves in the English language in order to learn it...and he got called racist and all kinds of ish by the Mexicans. Of course, none of them took into consideration that he himself didn't know English when he arrived here and had to learn it and became wildly successful as a result.
