I've been both. I've ran a business, and worked 60 hour weeks in a factory. I'm a college undergrad, nearly finished up in school now.

I own a small business so I must wear many hats. Sometimes Im the CEO, sometimes the janitor. I enjoy every minute of it.

    Quick story:

About 15 years ago when I was starting my business we did primarily painting. My Dad came out of retirement to lend a hand and he and I were painting a Mobile Home office building exterior. While we were working one day a elderly man was walking around the park for exercise. Each time he passed the office he yelled "Blue Collar". The third time he passed I said "Why did you say that?". He said, "I have more money then you, blue collar." I said in return, "At least I live in a house!". He never stopped but continued to yell he had more money invested and so on. Obviously a chip on his shoulder......

The guy got kind of excited when I talked back to him. Almost as if he didn't expect it, or that we had no right? After he left, I thought to myself, this is the kind of guy that might come back with shotgun to further prove his point.

The term white-collar worker refers to a salaried professional or an educated worker who performs semi-professional office, administrative, and sales coordination tasks, as opposed to a blue-collar worker, whose job requires manual labor

I'm blue collar , I used to think it sucked and don't get me wrong it does . But after I look at some White collar guys , and no offense to any bros here , but they are clueless. If the economy was to collape today and we went stoneage , all these guys would just die from lack of survival skills.
My god I couldn't imagine paying to have my truck fixed or my addition ruffed in , or the simple knowledge of practical physics , and how things work . Plus I make more than alot of them . Of course theres the doctors and lawyers.....and godamit some of those ****ers musta snuck by .

Yes they do. UPS has more supervisors w/ their head up their ass than anyone else on this world. I know cause i worked there and my dad retired from UPS and he hates the bastards. They're crooked as hell. Especially at this time of year.

I'm blue collar and wouldn't have it any other way. My hands get a lot of shit done.

I'm white collar. I work in Finance and have been all over the world doing it. There are tons of upsides to being white collar obviously, but the thing I like about blue collar professions is that one can be an owner/operator very quickly. The chip on the shoulder some of you guys have I've noticed from plenty of blue collar guys. Business is business and getting mad at the players doesn't help you win the game.
