Natural Diet
I was thinking of switching to a completely natural diet consisting of mostly essentials like nuts, beans, some fruits, and raw vegetables.. maybe eggs too.. some other sources of protein as well.
I dont know why im posting this, as there is no real point to this thread...
But what do you guys think? In our current time with all the process foods and preservatives, i think a completely natural balanced diet will promote longevity...

"natural balanced diet will promote longevity... "
Until you get hit by a car or die in an earthquake.
I recently saw a cartoon where the OLD man is sitting in the doctors office and the doc is examining him. The old guy looks typical, old, a little out of shape, tired, hunched over, wringled and just like he really is not enjoying life. Probably has all the typical problems that go along with OLD age.
The doctor says remember all that healthy living, no smoking, no drinking, not staying up late and partying how it adds 10+ years to your life? This is those years................
Sometimes you have to see the difference between being alive and living.Last edited by lovbyts; 02-25-2010 at 01:05 AM.

I'm on an all natural lifestyle, no processed foods at all. Sweets aside when i want some.
That aside, this lifestyle includes all meats, breads, grains, seets, nuts, eggs, milk, and anything and everything that was not bought at a supermarket wraped in heavily advertised packaging.
I avoid all processed foods at all costs (again sweets aside maybe once or twice a month). I hate McDonalds, pre-cooked meals, packaged garbage, etc.
Being natural doesn't mean your have to be a vegan.... which i believe is the worst choice of lifestyle.

Also i hate this crap that vegetables are better than fruit. Any dietitian with a brain knows that your should be consuming more fruits then vegetables. They have nearly double the essential nutrients, minerals and vitamins as veggies with the same fibre. Also lettuce, come on, its 99.9% water, useless and has no nutrients. Why people think they are healthy because they eat this is beyond me.

Im sure/Hope everyone here realizes what you said about lettuce is true. It's only for looks. If you want something green, leafy that is good for you eat Collard Greens. I learned that LONG time ago when I had an iguana. NEVER feed your lizard or any pets lettuce thinking it's good for them, you will starve the poor little guys. lol NO I did not starve mine. I learned it from books.
