Tuna Can go to HELL!
Ok, I know I probably should put this in the diet section but it is also fitting for the lounge, so here I go.
I can't handle tuna and never have been able to. I choke it down with lemon and pepper just because I have to. I am trying to sub Imitation crab meat and imitation lobster. I just tried some straight out of the pack and its not bad, but I can't eat it just plain. What should I put on this stuff to make it taste better and still keep it legit for my cutting? I need some serious help.... I am struggling with this meal everyday.... Any substitutes or ideas will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

you don't HAVE to eat tuna, the mercury levels in tuna make it unsafe to eat more than 2 cans a week. Light tuna has lower mercury levels.

I eat a lot of chicken a lot of eggs (mainly whites) and lots of cottage cheese. I just have a tough time finding high protein moderate fats and very low carb meals.... I can't think of much else other than tuna or crab. I also eat 7oz filet mignon almost every night with asparagus and broccoli.

I love Tuna, I eat about 3 cans a day. I buy it in cans with Brine liquid. I just open the can and grab a fork.
What's all this talk about Mercury... ? Am I f***ed if I eat 3 cans of Tuna per day? It's such an easy way to get protein!

As someone already pointed out, you don't HAVE to eat tuna (I hate it too, mostly because I hate the smell but I don't like canned foods anyway). You can make burgers with ground turkey breast, or eat chicken breasts (as someone else mentioned before)...there are lots of options for relatively low-calorie and low-fat sources of protein, you just have to think outside the box sometimes.

about 75% of all mercury exposure to people in the US comes from fish
mercury from nature and polloution gets absorbed by small fish and gets concentrated the further you go up the food chain.
Tuna is really high on the food chain...but you know who's higher? you
so mercury can build up in your system if you eat a ton of high on the food chain fish.
if you want to see what the FDA thinks is safe

I put it on a rice cake with mustard. still tastes like sh*t but it makes it more tolerable. I also mix it with brown rice and mustard which tastes good to me.

I just stuff it into my mouth and have a glass of water to wash it down.

I suggest doing a little research on mercury poisoning, eating fish is the #1 cause.

I just watched a documentary about the damage is causes in japan. Where they eat whale and dolphin with very toxic mercury levels I am fully aware of the damages at hand.

personally i can't stand tuna by itself, but for some reason i love using tuna with a little light miracle whip and tons of fresh lettuce mixed together to make my own "tuna salad"
i don't know why but the freshness and crunch from the lettuce just makes it amazing

Pickle relish does wonders for tuna. I don't mind it plain tho.

I despise tuna. Can't handle the stuff. Haven't had a can in 4 - 5 years. Way too gross, lol.

Good to know that the better tasting tuna (chunk white) contains more mercury than the gross, mushy, substance called chunk light.
WTF! Chunk light is NASTY! Hey mercury
Looks like canned chicken it is
