    Things special to you.

I figured this would be a neat idea. What is somethings you own that are special to you? It can be cause you saved up to by them, inherited, good story behind them, etc. I will start it out.

My dads custom wallet. He had it made in 82 but a local leather worker. Its defiantly aged but no loose stitching, I guess you get what you pay for.

    My grandfathers flask.

My Harley, my dad was so happy when we took our first ride together. I have his bike as well.

My grandfathers belt buckle that was passed to my father and now me.

My older brothers favorite t-shirt. He passed on years ago and I don't wear it but I keep it for sentimental reasons.

These are just a few but some of my most prized possessions.

What are some of your guys favorite possessions?

To much to list... I kept a lot of letters from old GFs, photo albums of first and 2nd wife before they died. Pictures, toys, cards, stuffed animals, certain clothing items etc from daughter growing up.

All I have from my dad is is Camera. Never knew the grandparents.

Good idea for a thread though.

My grandfathers chess set....him and I would play when I was younger. He would never let me beat him, but that one day when I did beat him, he was so proud and pissed at the same time. He passed away a few years ago, never got to say goodbye. I keep a game running in his memory.

RIP to those lost seem to be a lot. Personally I try not to attach myself to prized possessions so I have nothing to contribute... But If i had to choose one thing special to me that would be my body.

    At home:

My bike. I spent two years saving and buying parts for it and 10 months building it. I've owned and put together several bikes but this is the first one I built from nothing. I'm very proud of it.

I have a pair of my grandfathers overalls and his .22 rifle. He was very important to me and made me what I've become today. I never saw him in anything other than overalls and the .22 was the first gun I ever shot. They are what I asked for when he passed.

    Where I'm at now:

My wife and children made me a poster with their hand prints on it and a little I love you from each of them. I have it hanging on the wall in my room. It makes me smile everytime I see it.

My dad was a Special Agent, passed away when I was 15. I kept his SWAT gear, vest, all his cool shirts from different places he attended training at, his badge. I hold that stuff sacred.

The things that are most special to me are my kids. Not sure if I cud really motivate myself each day without the 3 of them.
To watch my son play football and think of how proud I am and how proud I made my dad when he watched me play.
To Have my daughter be as bad as I was when I was young. Just to remind me the hell I gave my parents.
For my youngest copying my everymove and action. Wanting to be just like daddy.
Being a Dad Rocks !!! That's what's special to me.
