After seeing Messi single handedly destroy us on Tuesday I was hoping for good things for Man U and 3-1 at half time seem like a done deal.
Shame about Man U, Arjens goal was spectacular though. Wow, first semi final coming up with no English teams involved.

Well, you'd have to tell me exactly how fast he is. What are his times in the 40 yard dash and 100m. There are literally dozens of football players who are probably faster than he is. Here are three guys who aren't even professionals who would absolutely smoke him-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAdnEAnmuH8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdPmexUhjWk - not only faster, but three inches taller and 30 pounds heavier than that Habana character
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzwRg9tNkWM&feature=fvw
There you go. Three players who haven't even set foot on a professional field yet who are faster than Habana. There are high school players here who are faster than that guy.

10.12 is his 100m
-
04-08-2010, 01:14 PM #60
they run 40 yards (36.5m) in 4.24. international races are over 100m
so that would be 77m in 8.48. plus he would be slowing down and would have to cover 23m in less that 2 seconds flat
i doubt it

Man Utd went 3-0 up then Bayern got a goal just before half time.
Ronney damaged his ankle again and didnt play the same again.
Rafael then got sent off (wasnt a sending off), mostly becuase of the Germans surrounding the ref (I think), then the game changed completely. Rooney then got subbed.
Robben scored from a corner (cross then volley) which was an excellent goal.
Utd then had a few chances, Nani was through and Gibson had another chance outside the box.
Wasnt Utd's night.
I hope WE (England) get our revenge on the Germans in the World Cup! We can meet them at some point quarter/semi's on route to the final.

rugby is for homos that aren't good enough to play with the big boys
and soccer is just plain boring... watching men kick a ball around for 3 ****ing hours and the score is 1-0... how ****ing exciting!

Nice math there. They don't run the entire distance the same pace they run the first 40m from a dead start. That calculation is horrible.
A 4.24 is the fastest time over 40 meters ever recorded electronically. To say that Habana is without a doubt faster is absolutely insane. But, if you want to use 100m as a measuring stick, the guy in the second video who is three inches taller and 30 pounds heavier than Habana last ran the 100m 5 years ago at the age of 17. He recorded a 10.7. The guy in the first video ran a 10.3 last year.
The guy in the last video ran a 10.0 in the 100m, and beat out Walter Dix (THE OLYMPIC SILVER MEDALIST!!!!). There have been many football players who have won medals at the Olympics, and many who have been part of world record sprint relay teams. I call bullshit on that guy running a 10.12, but even if he did, Trindon Holiday is faster. So there you go, buddy.Last edited by JDawg1536; 04-08-2010 at 01:47 PM.

Yeah, and I have video proof. Habana does NOT run 100m in 10.12 seconds. Show me proof and I'll send you $100. You can't do it.
There are tons of guys in the NFL faster but they don't run the 100m, they run the 40 yard dash. Either way, Habana's time is bullshit and his speed would be nothing out of the ordinary in the NFL.

no sport, rugby, american handball, whatever, comes close to football, thats why football (with feet) is world wide, and no one really cares about nfl bar americans.
Football isnt boring...football is a little more than turning up at 3pm on a saturday and watching 90mins

NFL is an international brand..
Soccer is for retards here in the states....no-one cares about soccer here...hell noone should care about that sissy ass sport anywhere...they cant use there hands...what in the sam hell is that, a sport without using ur hands....
and to maniac, the level of athletes is not even close, the NFL has pure athletes, rugby is played by a bunch of guys who work at home depot or whatever the hell u girls have over there...
NFL is king, go drink some tea......

soccer (Euro football) is boring as shit.... I'm sorry. I can watch the PGA Master..... I can watch baseball..... I can't bare to watch more than 10 minutes of a soccer game.....
As far as rugby and american football..... we've had this discussion..... there is scientifical proof that they are both really tough in their own respect. Rugby players DO NOT hit as hard as american football players..... FACT. However..... they play without pads which makes it really tough. Fight Science determined that Rugby is tougher because of the lack of pads but noted that if they hit as hard as american football players.... people would be de dying - hence the use of pads.....

moose, im not very well informed i guess, but where is american handball played/taken part in bar america?
And since when does jumping on each other make a sport better than another? football is pure skill, more passion, atmosphere, the followings much bigger than any other sport...doesnt that say much

NFL plays a few games around the world every year, and they all sell out.
Soccer will always be more popular because you don't need to be as athletically gifted to play it (not saying they aren't good athletes) and just about everyone in the world has access to it. For lack of a better word, American football is more exclusive.

i see what your saying with everyone has access to it, two goal posts, a ball and your off i supose...But why arent other contries interested in geting so ''athletically gifted'' so they can take part in American footy?? Purely because i dont think any1 really shows much interest to the sport, bar americans.
But to end it all off...its what your born with. you wouldnt sit and watch a game of footy, i wouldnt sit and watch a game of handball. Iv been brought up to play football, you probs played american football in some college team or whatever....
What you going to be doing in 2months time...i feel for you its the fkin World cup!!!!!!
you going into hibernation
