thank you for being nice but I'm not new here and honestly how could you give yourself a good base/foundation doing anything in sandals... even to have a good bench press you have to have a good base with your legs to get more power and you are wearing sandals to get that base which means you are slacking on some of your form... now I'm not pulling you out of the crowd here but i see it all the time people wearing flip flops and working out are loosing power on every thing they train that needs a good base/foundation (planted feet) bench, incline, shoulder presses, db curls,military press, all need planted feet and if you disagree you are training with poor form...just my 2 cents..
PS no matter how long i have been here we can handle this like adults.. ill meet you out side in ten min..lol

You wear those ****ing rubber shoes that are in the shape of your foot so if you were to drop the weight your foot would be ****ed!
You hold a 10lb plate in front of you and and turn it like a car steering wheel.
You wear cut off shirts with wife-beaters under it to hide your gyno... you should not be ****ing wearing that low ass cutoff in the first place because you are a)fat or b)small
You leave a ****ing towel on a piece of equipment and walk off to do something else and expect to come back and have free reign on it once again.
You walk in front of me while I am using the mirror on incline dumbbell press to do shrugs with 45 lb dumbbells.
You cluster around with all your frat douche friends and act like you own the gym.
You wear board shorts to workout in.
You shadow box in between sets to look like a badass.
You only wear Tapout gear cause you think you are a pro mma fighter.
You do abs and no cardio cause you think that's all you need for a 6pack.
You move the dumbbells to the opposite side of the weight room from the racks and ****ing leave them there ( I used to work at a gym and hate those fvckers!##@!@#@).
You have like 10 dumbbells set out to do drop sets.
You have your headphones on so loud everyone and their mom can hear your lame ass music.
You have some douche coming up to you and asking you how many sets you have left... then when you say "like 3" they stand and wait for you to finish making you hurry along with your ****ing workout.
You constantly do 1/8th reps on everything after loading as much weight on as possible to show you are a hard ass.
You can't squat for shit.
You use the smith machine and use a pad for doing squats.
You ask for a spot and do not even struggle with your set.
You do ****ing side bends with 25lb plates like that does anything for you... you dumb mother ****er!!!!

IMO planting your feet allows you to cheat. Put your feet up on the bench with you next time you do chest and feel how much more it focusses on your chest. I don't always do this but I do know it keeps you from arching your back so I have to disagree with your statement. Just my .02
