The writers of the Toronto Sun should be shot and hung
If anyone is familiar Toronto has a few major paper the two biggest IMO are the Toronto SUN and the Toronto Star. Well on the weekend 7 Canadian school teens died in an avalanche. And what does the Toronto SUN do? They put for the second or third day in a row the NASA disaster on the cover and for the next fucking 20 pages! They didn't even make a mention of these kids till page 25! WTF is wrong. No offense to everyone in the states but our papers should be more concerned with our kids dieing then NASA's astronauts. And it really pisses me off to see that they put that story on page 25 cause the first 20 were about NASA like fuck who cares, we've herd enough, its not news anymore its overkill....Which is probably why everyone forgot about the kids that were killed.

Most Canadians are too obsessed with American media. They turn on their TV's and see the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy on every American channel (and rightfully so). After seeing all of that they expect the Canadian media to give the same news priority over Canadian news. I can't really blame the Toronto Sun, after all they're only trying to sell more newspapers. Its the American-obsessed Canadians that need a slap in the face. The lives of seven kids aren't any less valuable than the lives of seven astronauts, but some people judge value by the amount of media coverage an event receives.

I agree, but then again, Toronto Sun just sucks ass. Stupid paper ... designed for people with a reading level of Grade 2 ... maybe Grade 3.
Toronto Star tends to be much better, but what can you do? They will just print what sells! And like Excess said, the U.S. has a population of 400 million (about?) and Canada has like what ... 30 million? They just follow the main stuff with the American news.

Our Canadian news is dominated by American Media because most of the television programming comes from the states.

That ONE school that we have up here in Canada is getting more and more popular. We now have like 20 students!!! That's like half the population of Canada

I agree wholeheartedly with Full Intensity...I've missed countless important sitcoms and such when the Columbia tragedy takes precedence. But seriously, we need to look to the future and not keep reliving this event.

look i don't know what you canadians are all upset about
one time when i was in second grade, i lost my shoe in the snow and got frostbite trying to find it!there was no partyboy on the frontpage.and when i was in college, we had a snowball fight and i got a black eye!!no expose on old partyboy on the news!!!
snow, even when alot of it falls on people and kills them, just isn't all that exciting i guess.now fire, yeah fire, THAT would probably be exciting or maybe ALOT of WATER.that would be news if alot of water just fell on some people and they died.i'd read about that.i think..
