just had a $hitty experience getting blood work done
I just got back from the doctor to get a blood test and it was a really $hitty experience. I am currently on 625mg test-e and 400mg deca and I wanted to go to make sure the doses were accurate based on my levels and that my gear is real.
First the girl doctor tells me I need to have a reason for them to do a blood test like this, so I have to tell her I am juicing. Of course her reaction was basically that I should stop and will do a lot of permanent damage, yadda yadda. So they give me the blood test, then after another doctor comes in (male). So here I am thinking finally someone with knowledge is coming in to talk to me about it. But noooo, the guy had no idea wtf deca was. I had to spell it out for him after he mispronounced it 10 times. And the whole time it looked like he thought he was talking to someone who was gonna die in a week bc I am taking steroids . wtffff I don't need a lecture from people who know far less than I do about AAS. I'm sure they will wipe the floors with me when it comes to subjects like cancer, but not AAS when they clearly haven't got a clue. I was basically educating them the whole time to show them I knew what I was doing

Lol...the reality is, that the vast majority of medical professionals are going to council you just like they would someone who is sitting in their office telling them how safely they are using heroin or cocaine. Next time, tell him Nandrolone Decanoate instead of brand names, then he can look it up in his little drug dictionary and at least get a small clue.

lol I did say nandrolone . I also said deca -durabolin . He wrote both down on his sheet of paper. I was like "ok I need to get back to work before I'm late." Wasn't worth my time

Oh brother....
Okay.... to get bloodwork for your test levels..... you need to walk in and say you're having boner problems. Tell them your sex drive is low.....
then when the test comes back WAY over natural..... say "Well.... I guess thats not it....." and walk out lol

Also..... i'd make sure to tell him to keep it OFF THE RECORD...... no need to tell your insurance you're using steroids .....

My doc is cool with it, very knowledgeable about it, and it's a female doc...

My doc is similar, she did full blood work not just for the test. I told her I was also on orals and she knew right away to check my liver enzymes which was good because turns out they were extremely high, so she prescribed me something to lower them also told me to take milk thistle.. She was completely on my side with the subject and told me she will always make sure I stay healthy and to come to her anytime if I am having any problems.

I went in for a blood test and had to admit something was up because my BP was too high. I was a long way from dropping dead, but when you are 28 and apparently in perfect health it raises some flags to be classified "prehypertensive". I just told them that I monitor my BP constantly and it is naturally much lower. This is just the result of a pill that I am taking.

I get free blood tests from my doc anytime I want (usually like every 3-4 weeks). Im on HRT and he gives me Test CYP every week for free. I told him I should probably run an AI like adex cause my estradiol was a little high. He said "what's arimidex ?" I told him and he said "oh ok, how much should I make your prescription out for then?". No I'm not making this up. He pretty much gives me anything I want within reason. He's been my primary care physician/ psychiatrist/ therapist/ best friend for years.

Lol I had a type of tren flu and I went in to a walk-in clinic, I didn't even bother telling them I was taking test + tren, I just said test.
The doctor said "I am going to go on the computer to look up this stuff"
I was like
And in the end he was like "You know more about this than I do, so you should go to a hospital"
I was like 50 bucks to tell me to go to the hospital. Went to walgreens got some Ibrofuen maxium strength and cut out the tren a week later and I was fine. All I wanted was a damn prescription for my asthma (which was unrelated to me taking test and tren) and maybe some low-grade painkiller.

Most doctors have no clue. I would not have told them you were taking anabolics without it being off the record either. If your insurance gets wind of that they will treat you like a pedophile. Better hope you never want life insurance either. They can look at your medical history.

Agreed 100% with the above.
You man not care NOW but 5, 10, 20 years from now you man. NEVER let them write anything like that down and if they do or you find out about it later (Always ask to see your chart) then tell them if it's not removed immediately you will make sure by next week they no longer have their license to practice.
I would also have asked/told them HOW can you lecture me on something you dont even know what it is, how to pronounce it and I had to explain it to YOU?
Now get back to that doctor and get your chart notes fixed.
Next time find a private lab.
My normal doctor Im sure is a moron when it comes to AAS, that's why I see an endocrinologist. I started with a life clinic but even he was clueless when it came to anything other than test and he didnt know much about that but it got the ball rolling.
My Endocrinologist seems cool. 1st blood test and checking all my past test over the last 2 years (way to many test he said) and even when my levels where up to 750 and the life clinic doctor about freaked he was like no biggie, it's not to high. He said come back in 6 months, here is your script. After I saw him 6 months later and we talked about how everything was going and my blood work he said I was his healthiest patient and come back in 1 years, blood work in 6 momnths, hears your script.Last edited by lovbyts; 05-25-2010 at 02:12 AM.

when the doctor calls me to let me know the test results, I will certainly bring it up and tell them to keep it off the charts if possible
