Man reading this...!!!!!. I don't know what has happened these days, it used to be you had a fight and as long as you put your heart into it,,,win or lose, you got respect for heart, and often ended up having a drink with the guy you had a fight with, no knifes, no guns, no petrol etc, just man on man, i have lost fights but even then i kept trying and that is what matters (well at least until you just can't get up anymore),,, these days it seems like you risk everything, even if you win the buggar might just come back and cap you, or like some member are saying he might hire someone to mess you up,, what the hell.....
Best thing today i guess is swallow it, and try to aviod the fight, the risks are getting just too high, men and the way things work are just not the same now.

yep, i'll 2nd that, esp in ireland at the moment, big gun culture emerging and thts amoungst the 'ordinary' crims, not just the paramilitaries anymore.

Guns, knives, bottles, wheelbraces....the list goes on and they are all using them!! another thing is i live in one of those towns where it is actually pretty rough at times, it aint always one of those pleasant irish towns!!

Ah right now ive kinda got used to the idea if he comes at me or not, its not bothering me as much!!! probably because its gone 1 or 2weeks and ive had time to think and get sick of thinking about it!!

how old is this guy if hes quite old no one will want that kind of name hanging over them and wont get involved to help him. im from a small town myself and believe me no one wants people talking.

if you cant beat him fist to fist or one on one lift something and slap him around the head with it. believe me you dont know what kind of tool this guy is and what he might do to you if he knocks you out.

what part of ireland are you from ill come do the deed for you and give him a good warning and skip on back to my town before the guards get involved. i to hate bullies and have got into more trouble than enough defending strangers in bars from the scum bags that like to prey on the weak

I havent read the 3 pages of answers, but if you think its going to come down to a fight either way, might as well just go and do it. Next time you see him, dont give him a chance to make the first move. Hit him till he stops twitching. My preference in these situations is just to break his arm or leg. About 3 years ago I was at a club here in Edmonton and I watched this guy grab a bottle off the bar and proceed to try and slam it into this guys head, he managed to catch my girlfriends friend in the brow. I was about 8 feet away and it took about 2 seconds to grab his hand, his elbow and then I proceeded to bend it around the back of his head till I heard the shoulder pop, kicked the back of his knee out and a couple knees to his face before the bouncers got there. Doubt he did something that dumb again

id be careful with bottles etc, you can put someones lights out for good alot easier than you think, then where would you be? plenty of ways to hurt the human body simply, without taking tht risk
