    Yeah there is definitely a trend here. The measuring stick for band greatness is whether or not you have had a member die. If you still have all your original members you are not hardcore enough! haha

    Seriously though, I didnt realize until I started reading this thread how many great bands have lost members. I wonder what percentage were drug related. Probably pretty high. When fame and fortune come and you try to live the lifestyle these guys lived the drugs are bound to get you one way or another.

    i feel they got very 'plastic' after bon scott, lost their dirty rock n roll edge. there are afew exceptions of course
