    Entered at the top of the glute, exited at the bottom... it looks like a galvanised fence post.

    I'd dare to ***guess*** he fell off something from high enough (ladder? roof? scaffolding? real fat chick?) and he came down almost head first, landed on and got caught by the fence post.

    By the way the ends of the tube are clamped shut, I'd guess the FF's who rescued him used the cutting tool from their "jaws of life" hurst to snip him free.

    All I can say for that guy is OUCH!

    it had to have entered in from the top...if you see where the fence thing was bent in at the top, metal cutters were used to remove the metal from where it originally was...the bits of flesh hanging down near the leg show that they were forced out by the post...if it entered through the bottom, why would they cut above to remove the metal? it would just shorten the pole, but not remove it from where it was attached...interesting

    It reminds me a lot of that girl who fell out of her dorm window and had her glute impaled in the same way by the wrought iron window bars from the floor below.

    She hung there upside down a while and the rescue was caught on tape, they showed it on one of those "disaster shows" on TLC a dozen times. Scary thing is that it saved her life! She was heading head first for the concrete sidewalk.

    Once again... Ouch!
