I took an IQ test recently and got my results back...

I got a 127.

23 years old

I read somewhere that a 150 is pretty damn near genius level...

so i'm guessing i'm average....nothing special...

Actually, on an IQ test, 100 is ALWAYS average, as the scores are not absolute but relative.

That seemed like a really easy "IQ" test. I've never taken a real IQ test before so I'm not sure if they are like this one in the link? Anyone else?

Online IQ tests mean very little. Average scores for those seem to be in the 130s-150s.

Hehe. All legit IQ tests Ive taken have been timed. So... an online one where you can look up the answers seems bogus to me.

Now that i know what an iq test is...ive taken one when i was 15 back in israel, i dont really remember how much i scored but she said i got a really good score and that she was surprised....i think ill get a lower score now days

Actually i Think it depends on ones age. They said i was a little over average with 137. So if a 100 is average they must have made an understatement
Anyone taken a Visc 3 test? simillar to the IQ test but "more exact" (they say).

IQ is a bunch of shit if you ask me. WAY too many variables to determine a percise level of intelligence in anyone.

Maybe Im just saying that cause I got a low score on that dumb test... but some of the questions were retarded and worded wrong. And quite frankly, I think the person who wrote the test choose some of the wrong answers as the right ones himself.

A simple question like: Water is to glass, as letter is to: bla bla bla.

Well, the word letter could be letter like you write to a friend, or letter in the alphabet, two very different meanings.. and without being specific as to which "letter" the analogy was refering to, there is no way to choose a correct answer.

None the less....that test is a $$ scam anyways.

Um, sorry, he was right. IQ stands for "intelligence quotient," which is basically one's mental age vs. chronological age. In other words, if you score 100, you are exactly as smart as you should be whereas if you score 120, you are "20%" smarter than others your age.

One's IQ rarely changes with age, perhaps you took that the wrong way (or perhaps I did?). One won't necessarily score higher on a test just because they are a few years older/smarter.
Specifically, I meant 'ones IQ does not change with age'. What you stated is correct however.

I took a timed IQ test in 4th grade and took that one online and my scores were practically identical.
