What would we do without blenders?

So a couple hours ago I get home from a workout. Pull into the driveway... garage door opener doesn't work. I figure the batteries in the opener are dead. Left the car in the driveway and went into the house to try and open the garage from inside. Still didn't work. I look around and NOTHING ****ING WORKS. Phones don't work, clocks are off and everything. Power outage happened when I was at the gym... great.

I had my powder, oats, and everything poured into the blender. Figures, blender doesn't ****ing work. I can't get water out of the fridge dispenser either because THAT doesn't work!! I wait around for about 20 - 40 mins and by this time i'm dying for my shake.

So I figure i'll dump the powder, oats, and everything into a container and save it for later. In the meantime i'll just mix a shake by shaking it in a container instead, and use whatever water I have left over in my water bottle. But how am I going to get my oats? Can't warm it up in the fvcking microwave, THAT doesn't work! God damnit.

As soon as i'm ready to pour the water, the TVs and everything turn on. I'm like FVCK!! So I take out the pwoder and oats I put into the container I was going to save and blend it. I got so ****ing pissed.

Guys... think about it, what would we do without blenders? What if they never existed? What if the government made blenders illegal?

But that still won't work in a power outage lol.

And I don't want someone squashing my protein shake with their feet.

Push the whatever through a metal sieve with the back of a spoon.

This is hard work, time consuming and mind-mumbingly boring.

    or

    potato masher

    through a sieve or colander

with a fork or a whisk

    lol

    Cordless drill

I still have an old hand mixer that you have to turn the crank on for mixing stuff. Don't use it but would work in a power outage I guess.

Exactly. I still have the old hand crank mixer, they work great when making anything using flour and eggs because you want variable speeds. I also have a cordless mixer and a few cordless drill with various ends I could use for mixing.

For heating do you have only a electric stove? Mine is gas, so is heat. I also have camping stove and if all else fails there is the BBQ outside.

In long term emergencies that is what my 6500W generator is for. It's SO much fun in the winter when the power goes out and the neighborhood is dark except my house. I turn on all the Christmas lights, open the shades in front to my 6' x 8' picture window, run the 110" screen down and put in a movie.
Yes now most of my neighbors have generators but it was fun the first couple years. LOL
