    HPV.... help :(

Ok guys just noticed a couple days ago I had a little slightly raised bump on my dick and at first didnt think about it then a day later started wondering and had to know. So i went to the doctor today and he said he was pretty sure it was a genital wart from HPV so he gave me this stuff to put on that pretty much burns it off over a little while like an acid thing. But the girl im dating i intend to be with for good. I had been with alot of girls before her so im assuming thats how I got it but I have never had symptoms until just the other day.

But so what should I do just wait until the bumps go away before we have sex again or do you think she would already have it? Ive been at school, so we havent in a week and a half or so but im worried. Idk if i have already given it to her or not or what. And the doctor really didnt tell me much he was like you know its best to wait until after marriage to have sex or to wear protection and all this stuff. I have never worn a condom with my girl now but I have with some before her but not all.

So is this gonna go away or am i stuck with it for life? and should i be worried about her? because i really am and want her to go get checked. at first she thought i had cheated on her or something which i definately did not. I just dont get why its taken like 9 months for any symptoms to show up. But anyone help i know its common but i just know what i found on the internet so looking for some help.
    thanks

    Welcome to the club brotha!

You will have HPV for life and theres a very very good chance that she has it also - although she may not develop the warts. It can go into remission..... you never know when the bumps will pop up. It's the gift that keeps on giving but not as much as herpes

But I hope she doesnt get them she will hate me lol, and that means there is no preventing her getting it then if she doesnt already have it without wearing a condom everytime from here on out?

And should i be worried about her getting the cancer? man i really care about her and love her more than anything i feel like shit for all this

she should be ok, its very common for women to get pre cancerous cells on their cervix from hpv, but its normally caught on their check-ups

Don't fret too much man..... there's a great cheance that she even had it before you found out you had it. Women can get tested over and over and over and it'll come back negative..... but it doesn't mean they don't have HPV. When it's in a remission..... they wont test posotive. I know this because my wife tested posotive once and hasn't tested posotive since.

The vast majority of the population has it and doesn't even know it. A lot of men carry the genital wart version but don't always show signs. A man can contract it at 20 years old and pop his 1st wart at 30 or 40.

The only thing you can really do is keep feeeding your body immune boosting suppliments to try to prevent anymore from poppin up.

Yep its really common like 1 in 3 people have it they just dont know. I have it to doesnt do anything to men only women. It increases the risk of cervix cancer in women other then that it really doesnt do much. She will have to keep an eye on it but its nothing serious to worry about. I found a little bump a few years ago and found out like you. In the last 4 years I might have seen it twice.

I wish they could test it in men..... i've whored myself so damn much i'd be willing to bet that i've got like 10 different strains of HPV ahaha

Man I thought i got it from sitting on a toilet when i had jock itch since the area was kinda raw but the doctor said he didnt think so and figured i could have got it all the way back to when i was 13 lol. But i just wanna keep her safe like not get all this shit, i wish she had taken gardasil but she never did so its too late for that now. Also later on if she got pregnant would it affect the baby

I've got it too. No warts for me tho. My ex had pre cancer on her cervix and tge gyno caught it on a regular check up. She hadn't been in a long time and it was pretty bad but they were able to get rid of it. Had to shave the cervix.

Like said above most people have it or will have it in there lifetime. Some strands will go away on there own after a year or two others are there for life.

Just because you have a visible wart doesn't mean you can't have sex. Whether the wart is there or not..... you can transmit the disease. The only way to be 100% safe with her is to wear a condom for the rest of your life.

It's nothing to feel bad about man..... even if she gets it..... it doesn't mean it came from you - unless every partner she had has worn a condom..... and then ur fvcked lol

If the wart becomes big enough to rub her button you'll either become a god to her or make her vomit.

I also have HPV. I had no idea, but about three years ago when me and my wife had been dating for almost a year, she got a regular check up. Her cervix had alot of pre cancerous cells on it. She tested positive for HPV even though she hadn't when she got checked up before we were together. They had to actually cut out a little bit of her cervix.
Anyway, its not clear if she had it already but didn't test positive, and gave it to me, or if i had it, and gave it to her. Either way we both have it. Neither of us have ever had any warts though. No visible signs at all actually.

And just as others here have said they have it, alot of the guys I know also have it. Its pretty common man.

Bro he most likely gave you 5% Imiquimod.... it's a topical cream that you apply. But trust me bro, this is not going to be a fun ride. Aldara (trade name for Imiquimod) gives you a chemical burn on your penis. It is the exact opposite end of the spectrum of liquid nitrogen treatment, which burns the warts via freeze burning.

Have you started a steroid cycle likely? Or have you begun a prohormone cycle... ( or something suppressive to your immune system/ HPTA)???

You need to begin wearing a condom. If you've been having sex with her while you've been a host to the virus, then she more then likely has contracted it as well. Genital warts spread very quickly, and are very very easily transferable between hosts.

So is this gonna go away or am i stuck with it for life? and should i be worried about her? because i really am and want her to go get checked. at first she thought i had cheated on her or something which i definately did not. You're stuck for life with HPV... there is no cure. Just ways to control flare ups.

As long as you keep your immune system is top shape you body should be able to fight off flare-ups in the future.

It shouldn't effect pregnancy. Atleast not from what I've read. I along with several other members have made threads about hpv on here after getting it and were all freaked out aswell. Search hpv on here and there's a ton of good info.

question: is it still all good to eat her out if i gave it to her? like as long as she doesnt have anything like those warts or anything?

Man this makes me feel so bad because odds are i gave or will give it to her eventually but i just dont want her upset with me because the doctor made it sound like the virus goes away eventually not that you have it for life so i told her it should go away :/

Eat away. If she has it then she can be tested for it. There's just no tests for men. They should be able to see what strand it is and tell her if it's one that goes away or if it's there for life.

Yes it's possible it could go away. Some of the strands have a lifecycle. I've never heard of warts on the face from hpv. Herpes is a different story. Cold sores are considered a form of herpes and can be passed from mouth to genitals. I don't believe the same goes for hpv.

I know how you're feeling, but you'll realize soon that it's not as bad as you think. Just have her get tested for peace of mind.

Also maybe you should take a basic STD test just to rule out the others. Or did you take one and it come back negative which is why your doc said hpv?

no i told the nurse i wanted to be checked but that i was pretty sure i had hpv but she just had the doctor come in and he asked me what was up and he said it looked like some small genital warts so he just wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way he kinda didnt seem like he wanted to bother with me it kinda made me mad, like he talked to me but not like what i would expect considering he just told me i have an std

Go to a local clinic and pay the $75 or whatever it is and take a basic STD test. I would hate for you to think you have hpv and it be something more serious. Not trying to freak you out but I would do this before continuing sexual contact with your girl.
