Who goes shopping on this horrible day ?

Me i decided to hit the gym and get my @$$ right back home. I have never gone and never will go out on black friday.

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. On this day, many retailers open very early, often at 4 a.m., or earlier, and offer promotional sales to kick off the shopping season. Because Thanksgiving always falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, the day after occurs between the 23rd and the 29th of November.

The day's name originated in Philadelphia, where it originally was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic which would occur on the day after Thanksgiving. Use of the term began by 1966 and began to see broader use outside Philadelphia around 1975. Later an alternative explanation began to be offered: that "Black Friday" indicates the period during which retailers are turning a profit, or "in the black."

I made the mistake of being in Vages last year and let my girl convince me to hit some outlet mall thingy on black friday... I didnt know wtf was going on... could have done without that experience. Never again

I think it's heavely overrated and just something some consider fun to do. Personally, I'd rather pay alittle more than ravage through a store like im in a football game
to beat the next person to an item thats $1.50 off.

yah no doubt... a buddy of mine pays airfare and goes to vegas every year to "save money"... yah, like paying $500 for $800 jeans is the most intelligent way to save money... fvck that, I buy my jeans at costco... $15.99 baby!!!!

Never have a never will. My girl and her mom actually started last night. They shopped at the outlet mall from 9pm-1am, came home and ate, and then went back out at 3am. They are still gone. Fvckin crazy if you ask me.

LOL, we were in Vegas last year, and this year, just got back this afternoon. Avoided those outlet malls like the plague!

I made the mistake last year of succumbing to this treacherous black friday madness with my girlfriend and never again will i partake in such a appalling event. Getting rammed into by cart after cart, little old ladies yelling at me, being pushed out of they way by kids as their toothpick fathers stared at me with a great perplexed gaze (like please its a kid dont beat me down), having a grown man physically remove an item from my 5'2" girlfriend until i stepped in.... no thanks never again! Id rather hire a Dom and let her have way with me for an afternoon and broadcast that crap online thansubject myself to that madness again. However with that being said it is a very very great test of patience! Nope this year i said eff it and went to the gym which btw was very dead.

Target was starting there sale at 4am. When I was driving to work the night before at 9pm nd being in New Hampshire it was like 30 degrees outside. No freaking way. I did my Christmas gift shopping through Amazon this year. Got it delivered to my door.

didnt go anyplace this year. I have gone but for a particular item that was on sale. I wouldnt go "shopping" as in wondering the store to see what they have.

Black friday/shopping is dumb as hell! WTH would you go to a store at 10pm and wait for it to open at 4am? On top of that up here on the north side... ITS FREEZING COLD snowing up in michigan too... My thoughts; a person makes on average at least 12/hr, take that and multiply it by 6 hours=72$ (base pay not including the eletment outside) My time is more valuable than saving 100-150$ to suffer and possibly not even get what you want inside the store... Unless you have 5 or more kids the savings are not worth the hassle- IMO
