Alcohol
What is your favorite drink of choice, how many do you have in average day/week/month (whichever is applicable), and do you think it affects or hinders your progress in regards to training?
My current favorite is Ketel One w/ diet tonic and wedge of lime. For the last 12 months I only have a couple with my Sunday once a week cheat meal and don't thinly it affects my training at all. I used to drink a lot more but.........Last edited by Sgt. Hartman; 01-18-2012 at 11:44 AM.

Water and I have about a gallon a day. And it doesn't affect my training.

captain and coke, crown and coke, jack and coke, jager bomb, vegas bomb, mind eraser, adios mother****er, liquid cocaine, irish car bomb, 4 lokos, red headed slut, and goldschlager to name a few.

Vodka and anything... use to drink a lot of Jack, but that was before I quite drinking when I was 17. Took up the hobby again this year
Not sure if it affects me as I drink maybe once a month, maybe

I only drink triple distilled vodka, non flavored, and I drink 1oz a day, every day.
It benefits my training.

Water, hot tea, and coconut milk is all I drink. (sucked at first but after a while it became easy.)

I always change it up but my old staple is usually rye. I only go out maybe once a month and its usually sloppy drunk. So... there is generally no training the next day lol. But I do feel a little sluggish in my first workout after drinking.

Vodka and anything for me. If it's flavored vodka I do it on the rocks sometimes. I used to drink every weekend and i didn't really feel like it effected my training as I think my body was used to it and I rarely felt sick or sluggish. Now I feel like I erase an entire week in the gym if I have more than two or three drinks.
I'm going out sat night for a bday and will be drinking pomegranate vodka with water and a splash of cranberry. Tastes exactly like pomegranate vitamin water.

I have found that it seriously hinder's gains. I'm talking about getting pissed not 1-2 now and again.
I like a quarter of a glass of red wine with a meal sometimes.

I had entirely too much last night. I used those chasers and they actually help. I only feel like I wanna die not like I have died.

My experience is that it seriously hinders progress as well, whether cutting or bulking.
I have always heard that the body's top priority, when large amounts of alcohol are consumed, is to process the alcohol rather than repair or build muscle tissue.
Does anyone have a link or study on exactly how or why this happens?

Im trying to get mine under control. But, usually a high % Vodka or Rum with either Diet ginger ale or Sprite zero. followed by a few beers.

Otherwise, just beers - usually Corona because they're easy and light to drink all night!

Carlsberg.. and Jagermeister when i feel like getting drunk. i go out once a week and have probably a dozen drinks, does it affect my gains??? probably not, but my BF would probably be a bit lower if i didn't do it, but I do not consider myself a BB, just a guy who likes to be big so a little BF does not bother me.

I'm a fan of the Long Island Ice Tea but if I don't feel like downing 4 shots like that I usually go with crown and Diet coke or Coke Zero.

it can hinder gains if you binge and then eat $hitty the next day. But not if you do it every once in a while. I drank a lot this weekend and ate like $hit but it got me laid by some redhead chick, so I'm not complaining
If I drink a lot, my chances of getting laid substantially increase. One of the main reasons I work out is for pu$$y, so it's a double edged sword

hah no but I popped a cialis before she come over just in case I managed to get her naked and banged her like 4 times. I had trouble sleeping because she kept putting me in weird sleeping positions via cuddling. So I figured I'd just rail her out again. She thinks im a porn star now, but she has been blowing up my phone ever since when I ain't trying to date the chick
