Because that would have been the smart thing to do.

rookie mistake. truck should have been curbside with the opening aimed towards the driveway to minimize the angle of declination. those fat fuks in the lazy chairs should have been there to assist, physically touching/grabbing the bike as it goes up. No issues with the bike running, but this should go down one of two ways.
    1) you have to commit by having sufficient speed going up, as there are benefits to speed, for one, it minimizes time on the ramp, which I call the danger zone
    2) bike off, and you push it up. In this case, one or two blokes need to be in the truck, two behind, and one managing the handle bars/brakes. A running start would be helpful

I was in a very similar situation a couple of years ago. Buddy's brother had a yamaha V2 something or other. And it was quite funny to watch. He had good speed going up and made it in safely. Hits the breaks and it stops. But the momentum of braking and the weight of the bike and the whole back end of the Ryder truck starts swinging side to side. Made it safely, but it's risky riding it up, for sure!

Just cause you ride HD doesn't mean you aint a rookie (suckers!!!)

I feel bad for the pole (not referring to the dude driving - that would be a "tool")
