car sales guys
My bf got a letter in the mail saying that chevy will give him 4K off a new car and cancel/buy out his current Jeep lease. Are these things BS or can they really get him out his lease and 4K off a new car when he still has until june for his current lease ? I was going to call the stealership tomorrow for him as i tend to see through BS more clearly then he does. I call BS from the start but i told him i would look into it so i figured i'd ask.

sounds fishy DSM but hey if you got nothing to do I would check it out. I am assuming they are going to roll over the buyout into the new car and screw you like that.

Its not impossible. There may be a clause in the leases that allow you to end them a few months lease for a small cancelation fee. 4k is an easy discount for a new dealership because the mark up is massive. I would just call and get details and look for the catch if there is one.
Many new car dealerships will sell cars a low profit because they know they will get your service and warranty work.

agreed, the service and warranty work is good money for dealerships.

With the economy being the way it is I would not be surprised if they were offering something like this to get more customers at Chevy. GM is still recovering.

Dont hurt to look! But dealerships play number games all the time. They dont give unless they are getting.Watch interest rate. They love to try that one.

When you get down to the brass tacks, they will probably tell you that the 4 grand discount only applies to a certain in stock model only, plus you will have to pay dealer prep and freight, all in addition to rolling over the existing lease payments into the new loan. Be prepared.
