A few pics, shined my first pair of boots for the new job :P
Well I'm still in the military (army, military police) but since I've been in the desert/sand boots are pretty well maintenance free (don't need to be polished). So I've never really polished boots b4... Well I just picked up a new pair of black leather boots and went to town on them just got done, 5 coats of kiwi and went over each layer with damp cotton balls and buffed the heel/toes with dry cotton balls at the end. I start my new job this monday, graveyard shift, here at the sheriff's office. Which actually works well with me because I have a hard time falling asleep b4 3am... Anywho, I think they turned out pretty good for being my first polished anythings, I swear they're leather and now they look like my old class A dress shoes from the army that we would use windex on! lol. let me know what you guys think!

sorry. had to laugh.
I've spit shined my boots so many time, I just had to chuckle when you got excited about it.
Anyways, that's not bad for a first effort on a new pair of boots.
What I don't really see is the toe very well, and if you are serious, that should be like glass. but that takes effort over a short period of time. you won't get that in only 5 coats.

Sorry to say this but they look sh1t! Us Brits, in the forces, had to spit and polish properly. No fcukin patent dress shoes like you fcukin pu$$y Yanks have!! Just polish, spit, index finger and effort for us!!
How we used to envy your black patent dress shoes ......... pmsl
