Some nice ant factoids there.
Pound for pound, Ants are around the strongest living organisms on the planet, able to carry something 10-20 times their own weight. That's be like one of lugging a car around on our back every day.
Still, soon as that mini spider bit the ant, it was game over, despite super spider intervention at the end.

Insects and animals in general are incredible. Yeah ants are extremely strong, but you're right...so are spiders web. The idea of Kevlar came from spider and silkworm threads. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if a spider was big enough to make threads of something like 2 inches thick, it would be enough to stop a 747 in midflight.
@Stack it, not sure how tough a ants exoskeleton is in regards to a Spiders bite, but that Ant wasn't looking too funky after the spider bit it LOL!
