STUNNING BRIDE with great poise who was a commoner and is now a Royal
Exquisite delicate feminine dress with antique lace showing off her lovely neckline and trim waist with corseted bodice
Cartier "halo" pure diamond tiara passed down from the Queen with hand embroidered flowing veil
Champagne colored flowers
Kate had her natural hair style as she normally looks instead of a tight beehive prom hairdo
Sweet kiss with adoration in both of their eyes
And a double kiss which I think is a first
Harry was happy to see his brother marry such a beautiful girl and whispered such to him before William had a chance to take a look
William whispered to Kate she was beautiful too at the alter
The ring almost didn't go on her finger
Queen kinda snubbed Camilla in the church it seemed
The hats in the crowd? Looked like a cartoon of heads with all kinds of shapes colors and patterns
White is tradition for the bridesmaids and flower girls in England to mimic the bride evidently and NOT in the states (since not to upstage the bride)....never knew this tidbit
Most important thing? They were smiling at each other with their eyes...

I guess that's the first time I've seen a prince so I didn't really know what he should look like. Looks a silly to me. That being said I'm trying to talk my buddy into using the tux's from dumb and dumber. He would be in the orange one and all of us groomsmen in the baby blue ones lol.

You english friend sounds like some upper class idiot. Princess Diana was hugely popular over here, not so much the rest of the Royal Family. She did come from humble backgrounds and was a "commoner" if you take the term to mean someone who isnt aristocratic. People liked her for being this quiet girl that came from a humble background that went out her way to help people, something you never see of in the other Royals. I mean after she died, did you see the old boot Prince Charles got shacked up with afterwards?

Who gives two shits?
This is a family who has ruled by "DIVINE RIGHT" since the beginning of England's time (save when the Romans ruled their ass's). In my estimation, the only thing the monarchy has done to the people of England in the last 1,500 years has been to tax them, tax them some more, behead people who opposed the crime, hang people for any number of minor offenses, try to conquest the entire world, imperialism, etc, and so on. They have done NOTHING to contribute to their soceity or to the world. They should really be looked at as something SHAMEFUL by an advanced society to still be supporting a "Royal family" on the tax payer dole.
Two other things!...
1) We had to start an entire war against this same "family" in order to establish our nation, because a country 2,000 miles away could not bare the thought of losing their imperial posessions (the land of the USA, and more importantly, EVERY PERSON IN IT, who "belonged" to them). So I say fu*k your god damn monarchy and that entire family. At the beginning of civilized time in that country, I'm sure some down on is luck dipshit decided to take charge of the situation, organize a society, and call himself King. Then when Christianity or what have you came about, he had some really good justification for how he became King, 'divine right.' Blow me.
2) The people of England kind of aggrivate me to be honest, the whole 'lot of you'. You have allowed almost every civil liberty of yours to be trampled on. You are one of the most heavily surveilled countries in THE WORLD. You recieve tickets in the mail for speeding, for having only one person in the car in the car pool lane, etc, and so on, just from the advanced spy network (i.e.- CAMERAS) set up in your country. You have allowed your government to essentially outlaw the prviate ownership of any EFFECTIVE FIREARMS, leaving you little recourse if your Prime Minister ever decides to go Adolf on your asses and REALLY start cracking down on civil liberties (I don't think you have any civil liberties left to lose at this point though). You people pay god damn near 70% of your fu*king income to the state to fund any number of bullshit social welfare programs, the MAJORITY OF WHICH BENEFIT IMMIGRANTS!!! You view things like having a job, HOUSING, and food, as a "RIGHT." You have bastardized what it means to be a free democratic society. You have let the reigns of socialism, which we fought so hard to eliminate and keep at bay, INFECT your country.
And to be honest, its not much fu*king better here in "the States." These dumb shits keep voting for people that pass laws which dont allow people to smoke PLANTS, ride without a seatbelt, ride a bike without a fu*king helmet, and for christ sake, our government even dictates what kind of toilet we can buy!!!
I guess we are both dumb asses, you guys are just a little further along in bastardizing your country.

the presidential inauguration cost tax payers money and we do that every four years. the royal wedding is gonna cost money when it finally does happen. security people are gonna get paid.
i find it kind of interesting to see some culture survive in our time and its not even my country. im in the U.S. you better maintain it because we all know there are sharia law people who would love to erase that and more. so maintain everything that you can even if it is something that you may find a little lame. dont do the bastards work for them.
i just wouldnt want a family in charge of govt. i like choosing. thats all.

ok im trying to understand the royal family.
so they tax people for what?
they make citizens pay for there events.
what do they contribute to the country of any value or economic growth or anything at all?
like not even kidding, why dosent England all get together and storm the castle and rip this horrible family out. for being eco terrorist

they only get something like one pound per citizen per year.. so it equates to something like 70 million pounds.. Supposedly Australia still pays homage to the Royal family as well.. and the queen is on their money just as it is on the UK pound.. this is what i heard from my ozzy friends anyways.. maybe someone could chime in to confirm /discredit this..

I'm gonna get slated for this, but I think the royals are a good thing for the UK. Even the wedding. I'm originally from the UK before moving to Ireland. Although they're inbread and all that, they do put the UK on the map like nothing else. If the UK had no royal family, then would it be anywhere near as well known? Tourism brings in a lot of money to a country, and its money from outside, which hasn't been given tax credits on or been given out by the UK economy at all. Every pound spent in the UK by a tourist is new money into the system. If the UK had no royal family, then tourism would drop hugely. Compared to how much money is made from the royals to how much they take, they are a good investyment. There was actually a programme on the tv once that investigated all this. They also visit foreign countries and help to get new investment into the UK.
I watched a few bits of the wedding and the news etc, there were people there from all over the world, the US, Spain, Chilli, non of those people would've been there if there were no royals and no wedding.
They make the little island that is Britian stand out from the hundreds of other countries.

I think it is the other way around.. most people outside thhe UK couldn't care less or even despise the Royals.. England is well known cause half the world speaks English, and Great Britain once ruled half the world.. THAT IS WHY IS WELL KNOWN... most people will associate the Royal family with the old tyranny of the English Kings accross the globe but especially in places such as Ireland and America.
i do agree that the UK made money on the wedding though.. just like it will with the olympics.. the wedding stimulated the local economy

Before anyone gets on their high horse about democracy, blahblahfvckingblack, Norway still has a Monarchy and is considered the most Democratic country in the world. The standard of living there is phenomenal.
