I met the brother of the owner of Lamborghini when i was in Bologna Italy.. we told his brother that Lambos should have stuck to building tractors... haha
I actually like Lambo's though.. but my buddy is a huge Ferrari fan..

My uncle has I think 5 Ferraris. Some very rare ones also. Ferrari flew him and shipped his '67 Dino to italy for the 50th anniversary like 15yrs ago. They had a convoy of sick Ferraris drive all of Italy from town to town. He had video, it was pretty sick. He to is close with the Ferrari family. Must be nice

I generally disagree when it comes to really big numbers like 2,000.
From what I have read, this car won't be built by Lamborghini, it will be built (maybe) by an American company and will (supposedly) have a twin-turbo 9.4 liter V8 GM 572 engine. Still, those horsepower numbers are being met with some skepticism. I cannot wait to see if this gets built.Last edited by JohnnyVegas; 05-11-2011 at 04:36 PM.

I would expect a car with 2k hp to do better than 9.5 sec in the 1/4 mile

Yeah, and tires will be the limiting factor in the top speed challenge as well. I was hanging with the designer (and owner) of the SCC Ultimate Aero and he said the tires simply cannot handle the heat and loads put on them at those speeds. The had their tire partner's scientists at their testing, and they wouldn't allow the car to go more than (I think) 30 miles before needing to put on a new set. They have a lot of tires with 29 miles on them. :-)
So, the tires can't handle it, and there are very few places on the planet that you can get up to those speeds. With 2000hp, however, you can get up to the record speed in less time, and in a shorter distance. A Ford GT has gone over 250 mph in the Texas Mile. Seriously...in ONE MILE!
Here is our get together, when my car was white, with the SCC guys out at Red Rock. Only posting so you don't think I am a big *ss liar.

What is the Bugatti's horsepower? There are a couple around here in Vegas. Motor Cars of Las Vegas had one in their showroom going for $1.25million.

Gotcha, I am colorblind. So it is the one I think it is. Do you go to Cars and Coffee on Eastern on Saturdays. Thats where I saw it i think.

I go to C&C maybe every six weeks...so it could have been me. But, it isn't like there are a million Panteras here. If you saw a widebody Pantera, I am sure it was me. There used to be a couple of narrow cars there too(one was yellow), but I have never seen another widebody.

Yeah my parents own a retail store in that center, and I work there on Saturdays sometimes. I have seen the Yellow one but I believe that Ive seen the Orange one also. Its a good looking car. I have a client that says he has 2 Panteras, along with 10 or so American muscle and Italian ladies.
