    rant on newbs

I have have been a member here for going on ten years, although i have come and gone allot. i just recently started getting on here again after about 2 years and i can't even read through the question and answer threads without wanting to pull my hair out. I can never recall seeing so many first time cycle threads as Im seeing right now. The thing that kills me is that most of them are 18-23 they have been working out "hard" for 8 months now, and their diet is "spot on" even though they are 17%bf at 178 lbs and their 6'1". its driving me nuts....these guys don't even know if they will still be interested in weight lifting 5 months from now. Im sorry to rant i have always just felt like using steroids is a right that needs to be earned and it annoys me to no end to see all these newbs who fit in what I've described, or these kids at my local gym who take everything under the sun but mysteriously can't break 200lbs at 6 feet tall. ps wrote this from my phone so pardon grammar and spelling.

Ive started the same rant a few times over the years. I will spend some time in the Q&A section trying to help out and learn myself but after a while I burn out and have to stay away for a while.

I notice Marcus and I are almost 180 from each-other. When I am more patient and giving advice he is quicker to get frustrated with their stupidity and when he is being patient giving advice I will be short tempered. LOL it's almost like good cop/bad cop; except I dont consider myself anywhere near his level of knowledge so dont get me wrong.

that's because now days most kids are on the internet looking for anything and everything before they even hit puberty. 10 years ago it was a little more informational based, it's entertainment based now and social networking.

I was asking a legitimate question. I have seen threads where teenagers and adults on here don't look like they've read a thing on aas use or how to eat and have already started juicing. I understand where you are coming from though.

That would be about 95% of them and 98% of them dont want to listen to ligitimate advice and only want to hear it's OK.

If you do not fall into that category then Welcome to the upper portion of the DNA/Gene pool and not being a typical idiot who thinks they are the exception to the rule. It's a little tough for all newbies; we have all been there but if you show you are willing to listen, learn and research you will be quickly welcomed and helped.

If you stick around for a while it wont be long before you will see first hand the frustration most of us feel every day. We have a lot of members who have never cycled because they have learned they are not ready and the proper way to do a cycle and get the most out of it. Just a teaser but basically the way to get the most out of a cycle is to already be in the best shape you can be in, then it helps you pass those limits. Diet is preached here 99% of the time because it's the key to a successful cycle.

Hey, They also give great advice to others. LOL It's funny as $%#^% to see them answering some ones questions on PCT, cycles or diet.

Man, I am in my forties and can't imagine taking a gram of anything. Of course maybe it is BECAUSE I am in my forties that I can't imagine taking that much. I was first interested in steroids when I was 18. I had already been lifting for two years. But it was before the internet and even getting info was hard, let alone the actual drugs. I am thankful for that. I have been in and out of BB all my life, and I am glad I waited now to do anything. Now I feel like I have less to lose (body is already mostly shut down, don't want kids, done growing, don't care about losing hair or getting acne, etc.), but when I was 18 I had everything to lose and probably would have if I had access at the time. That is why I am glad this place takes a hard stance on the 25 age limit.

The kids with a post count of 9 giving advice to another kid with a post count of 2 is the most scary.

As much as I hate not to help, I cant' spend much time in Q&A without just wanting to flame someone, and i catch myself making smartass comments like "do you like using your dick for anything other than urinating?"

I feel the best thing more senior members can do here is spend time in the other forums. Even though they dont' get the traffic that Q&A does, helping people out with, diet and training and just the basics is important since we all seem to steer them to those forums. just my 23.234 cents

it is definitlye worse than it was years ago.. i think a lot of it is how easy it is to get gear online now-a-days.. back 8 years ago when i started you had to get an email address from a Vet.. there were no sites.. and if that didn't work out i had to take a trip to Mexico.. now you can nearly google it and get what you want.. I think buying some stock in Viagra is not a bad idea by the amount of people that are going to need it in their mid twenties cause of what they are doing in their teens..

Its the internet generation...its not that more people use its that more people are using the internet than ever before so it looks that way...heck I see 6 year olds walking around the mall with Iphones and who are able to use the internet better than I can. 10 years ago not many people had internet in their house and If they did it was dial up and those who had high speed were lucky! today we all have 2 or 3 computers in our house, super high speed internet and google! lol To be honest its prob a good thing because before the internet there was no were to go for info on this kind of stuff and people took what ever they could get their hands on or what their friends said to take.

sometime you just need to take a break from the u and a section. I am at the moment. This time of year gets rough. Get tired or telling people not to cycle because they are to young, to fat or to lazy.

Now if you want to get more frustrated yet again look at the members cycle results and see how many people post pictures of before and after who have NO excuse for doing a cycle and are years away from being ready.

I share your frustration and I have to take breaks from the frontline sometimes because I get burnt out trying to explain the fundamentals of bodybuilding. What also frustrates me is some of the new guys who think they know it all after 3yrs worth of training and 2 cycles under their belt start to tell the newbie how to take steroids via his copy and paste skills but in reality he's just another nutmeg! If we were left alone to slowly show and explain the "why's" and "whats" of steroids to many of these newbies we would help alot more but all they seem to do is listen to the guy who copies and paste his advice and who trys to come across something they are not. I'm sure if you reading you know who you are lol..

On a personal note, if we didnt have some of you guys who continue to push safe and healthly cycling we would be frontpage news somewhere I am sure of this.

Thanks guys, keep up the good work its well noted

Remember the internet gives everyone a voice. Not like 10 years ago when people weren't so attached to the internet and those dump questions were being asked to someone in a gym versus posted on line.

The "search" tab will answer 90% of the questions. I rarely have a need to post something.

BTW: thanks to the Vets (the only post that holds any weight imo) that have answered in the past and have given graet advice and info.

Hi im 6'2" and 168lbs. This will be my first cycle. Im 19 and I have been working out pretty hardcore off and on for about 8 months now. My diet is spot on even though Im 20% bf at 168. Im pretty sure I have reached my genetic potential so Im ready to do my first cycle. I was thinking a gram of test and a gram of tren each week. Then ill run d-bol the first 6 weeks, and then winnie the last 6 weeks because I hear winnie will cut you up. Do you think ill need pct for this or am I the one person in the world who is an exception to being shut down? Maybe ill just get some cycle assist or something at gnc. oh also my lifts are 185x5 on bench, 95x4 on overhead press, and I dont squat but I can do like 1000lbs on the leg press.....I have real strong legs!

since being a member back in 09, it seems to be a seasonal thing w/the newbs. They come in a few months before summer or spring break trying to get a ripped body for some trip coming up, or just trying to look good for the summer. What cracks me up is the advice the juiceheads in there gym give them. I've never come across a single thread whose gotten proper advice from someone in the gym on how to cycle.

I know how people feel. Its good to vent but its better that even though there is a thread like this - the people in it will be back in the q&a section giving good , prudent advice. Its a big part of what makes this the best board on the net. If it gets through to 20% of the people referred too in this thread -its worth it. Another point - The prudent adivce is crucial - sure Marcus(and others) could always tell it like it is and he/they do - but the reenforcement by other senior members is a big part of what sets that tone and drives it home. Even the most stubborn are more likely to be swayed if its majority concensus. Sure some will wait to hear what they want to hear and do it anyway - but some dont.
One thing that helps is going to diff sections - diet /workout /supplement. Id love to see some more of the poepl in the q&a section participating in the areas we most often refer these people to for direction as well as in the q&a. Dont get me wrong those sections are in good hands and have staff and members that regularly dole out great advice - they are great areas - however if they got half the input as the q&a section it would be amazing. There alot of great advice that never gets spoken because steroids are such a point of interest. Often after becoming profficient at working out and dieting anabolics is the area of focus. However so many new members could benfit in those sections from the experince held by so many members. Id love to see more diet , workout , and supp section activity. Some of the people here might wanna take a break and venture over there for a bit. Just a thought.

Some do drive me crazy but I cannot stand seeing them ruin their life so I take 'em on. Once I do, I hang and latch onto them like my dog does with a tennis ball.... until they are so tired and worn out from me so they eventually cry UNCLE!...... and finally surrender....
