Weird but funny but serious abortion ??
So a couple weeks ago the story came up about the guy who bought an entire billboard to show a picture of himself holding a blank outline of a baby. Also on the billboard it said "my name is xxx and this would be my baby if my girlfriend, xxx wouldn't have had an abortion." I listen to talk radio alot and have heard a couple days of both liberal and conservative views on it. The girlfriend says it was a miscarraige and is sueing the dude for defamation or whatever bla bla...
I "lean" towards the pro-choice crowd but...
What if you are with someone and you make some kind of "agreement" to not have an abortion under any circumstances other than if the health of the mother or baby is in jepoardy? I mean if i was with/married to a girl and we were both trying to have a baby and for no good reason she decides to have an abortion i would be absolutely devistated/crushed. Now i think this particular guy and girl have deeper issues that would have made him air out his dirty laundry on a public billboard but thats another discussion.
Just reverse the role though. If I got my girl pregnant and then didnt want the baby before and after she gives birth, I am a total scumbag deadbeat dad and i "left" another woman to raise a child alone. I dont know i just keep going arould in circles on this.

Buddy of mine got his girl pregnant and they were both excited about the baby. A few weeks later they get into a big argument they don't talk for a few days. After a couple days he finds out from one of her friends she went and got an abortion. The argument was over something dumb like what most couples argue over and then don't remember ehyvtgey were fighting.

Geezus for some reason that turns my stomach a little. That's probably the most fuked up thing a girl could do to a guy, especially if BOTH of them wanted it and were looking forward to the baby yikes. I dont know i'm no woman hater but that's just another thing a chick could do to a man and he could literally do nothing legally or illegally about it...helpless

this decision should NOT be a political one!!
it should be between a woman, the father, and the doctor. Period.

I totally agree on the political sh!t. I drive a truck all day and pretty much listen to talk radio all day. The topic came up on some radio shows and ALL the callers immediately spun it into a pro life/pro choice thing. I guess i was asking about the scenerio, regardless of politics, where a couple wants a baby, is prepared ($$$) and ready for a baby, man and woman are excited and then an argument or whatever and the woman has an abortion without letting anyone know she was going to get one. Its just more odd people making headlines i guess.

Bottom line is that it's her body and her decision. she is the one who has to carry it for nine months along with getting vericose veins, hemmoroids, morning sickness, cravings at 2 am for pickles and ice cream, and then go in nine months later and spread her legs wide eagled in stirrups while some middle aged overweight bald headed doctor tells her to push as she screams in labor bearing agony feeling like her uterus is coming out her throat. All while the boyfriend just cheers her on as he picks himself up from passing out from watching it all while he asks the doctor is it a boy or girl and the doc replies neither, that was just the afterbirth.

For about 20 years now ever time someone says they just had a baby boy/girl I always make the comment how do you know? The look at me funny, then I say you have to wait until they are old enough to make up their own mind.
Yeah I get some pretty dirty looks after that but it's so fun.

I am against abortion, for all except the most extreme set of circumstances. But I refuse to dictate my belief system to others. This, imho, is where politicians cross the line. They feel they have better decisioning ability than the woman/father/doctor and will legislate their belief systm on the rest of us....
....regardless how we feel about the matter!

We are already overpopulated. I think we should start allowing abortions at every Wal-mart.

what about "post-birth" abortions?
is it ever too late then for the mom to change her mind and get an abortion, even if Junior is 31 years old???
