    1998 Suzuki Bandit 600

Is $1500 a good price for said motorcycle? The man who is going to sell it to me claims it has no mechanical issues, runs fine, but does have some small scuffs on the side from being spilled. Worth the money?

Uhh you'd have to really inspect the bike. Check fork ring seals, and suspension, check everything you can think of like the chain and tire wear too... last thing you want is to have to start dumping more money into said cheap bike, right?

    Great point.

Suzuki would be my second choice.

    Honda my last.

Kawi is just lost in the woods somewhere...

And Ducati...only if i had money to blow.

Honda's are shit when they go down. It's like they are designed to take the maximum damage with least impact. Ducati was the worst bike I've owned (even with the infrared video camera, hand warmers, and cruise control).

Suzuki puts the rest to shame. I do like Honda though. All the top bikes are about the same now and I think yamaha has the best styling but I haven't been keeping up with the new stuff. I like naked bikes now and there was a ktm naked bike that looked bad ass.

thats what crash mushrooms are for.

suz's are an epic fail on afew things, paint is like 0.00001mm thick, plastics are flimsy and they dont have the legendary honda reliability. ducatis are like everything else italian, beautiful but no fvcking brains lol.

as you say, all the big bikes are pretty much the same nowadays, hondas build quality and reliability shades them ahead in my book

honda's equivalent here in europe is the 600 hornet, im not trying to big up honda but they usually sell alittle cheaper 2nd hand than bandits (these go alittle higher due to their street fighter potential) and are a slightly de-tuned cbr600 engine
