This is why I wanted personal experience plus an all inclusive resort. I'm not about to go walking around towns or get into taxis and drive around.

You should be good if you go about it this way but the police are so corrupt its hard to trust anybody there. So if you go just be careful man

I'm thinking of taking a cruise down there to puerto vallarta and cabo. It's a 7 day cruise and only stops at two places though - Carnival.

Ive always done my cruses on the Caribean side. Ive been wanting to do the Pacific side since it's much closer. I have done 6 or 7 cruises using Carnival. Only had problems one time, first cruise, sh*ty room. NEVER take the room front of the ship, 1st cabin. Live and learn. Other than that it has always been good. Dont forget to order breakfast the night before EVERY day, room service. It's the perfect wake up call.
