What is the best advice that somebody gave you?
Hi, I would want to know , what is the best advice somebody gave you or best advice you have heard from somewhere?
Advices about bodybuilding and life in general are welcome here!
Nobody has motivated me or given me any advices , I pretty much learned things by myself. Started reading motivational books , like Secret and I also discovered motivation behind bodybuilding videos.

Bodybuilding- how and what to eat
My grandfather always told me- "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you read and you will be ok". I actually got the chance to quote this back in when I did his eulogy.

Don't shit where you eat.
Fake it till you make it.
Get comfortable feeling uncomfortable. (applies to lifting weight and taking new positions at work - had to clarify at work cuz of dsm)
Don't look down on someone unless you are helping them up. (I have a lot of trouble with this one that's why I admire humble people)
Eat real food.
You can't buy high and sell low.
Hazard had a really good story about some lady in a gas station that I really enjoyed. Maybe he will share it.

Never do anything by half. If you love someone, love them with all your soul. If you go to work, work your ass off. If you hate someone, hate them until it hurts.
Don't do anything by half.

My wife's brother is a Monk. My wife and I took him to the airport for a flight to China where he was going to do some studies.
While waiting for boarding time he told me something that has brought me great peace. He said "No one can escape gossip. No matter who we are there will be some people who say good things about us that aren't true and others that will say bad things about us that aren't true."
If you've ever lived in Asia then you will understand how bad the gossip is over here.

If it doesn't affect your wallet, your family or you who gives a ****. My old man told me that and it's a good one. And my grandad said before he died. If you're going to be killed at the end of the journey enjoy the journey.

Don't ever count on your gear as viable means of birth control.
Never engage deeply in a conversation while on PCT...especially with your bro....or hoe for that matter.

Ive been thinking for 2 days and finally came up with a quote some told me I live by.
Go forward, not straight.
Another that has proven true more times than now and will even jinx you if you do it;
Don't count your chickens before they are hatched.
My favorite quote from WC Fields and it's oh so true.
Never try to impress a woman, because if you do she'll expect you to keep up the standard for the rest of your lifeLast edited by lovbyts; 09-11-2011 at 11:18 PM.
