Is 4 weeks to short to get any real benefits out of a cut?
I was thinking of stopping my cut next week. I am currently on my 3rd week, my strength is exactly the same as when i started 3 weeks ago, except my dumbbell shoulder press went down by 3 reps, and my incline dumbbell chest press went down by 2 reps. But the rest of my exercises stayed the same, or increased by 1 rep.
3 weeks ago I was 173-174 pounds.
I am 169 pounds currently. Water intake has been the same, but maybe the low carb change made me lose a little bit.
proboably a mental thing, but im starting to feel a little scrawny. even thouhj my strength is the same.
only 3 weeks, so its probably to soon to tell.
me 3 weeks ago.
me now.
i feel like i got rid of a little bit of fat and by next week, i should be good to start a slow bulk.
Or should I give it another 3 weeks and get down to 165 before i start a slow bulk.
opinions plz...(should i start a slow bulk next monday, or continue my cut for 3-4 more weeks to get down to 165 lbs... to melt a little bit more fat off...)Last edited by Twin; 10-11-2011 at 12:19 AM.

It's not to short if done right. You can lean up quite a bit in 4 weeks if done right. I say you are fine place for a slow bulk and you can still get plenty cut/lean while bulking if you keep it clean. Keep it slow and steady and you should have good results. Adding size will also make you look leaner and more vascular especially if you keep it clean.

you can loss in 4wks but its going to be a crash, and not as maintainable as a gradual loss over a longer period of time.
just to expand, your body is very clever at re-adjusting itself and if you hit it hard with a 4wks crash diet its going to go 'fvck, when is the next decent fuelling coming'? it then goes into store mode, which you dont want. thats why crash dieting never works out in the longterm, gradual weight loss allows for adapting.Last edited by dec11; 10-11-2011 at 03:10 PM. 4 weeks isn't much bro, but it's really all relative to your starting point. Based on your current pics (good job btw), I wouldn't expect to look all cut up in 4 weeks - especially if you don't have a really good grasp on what you're doing with regards to cutting. Just want to be realistic.

Lol...this is it? my daughter needs to come in here and throw a real party.
This just reminded me...
The first time I bought a computer in -95. I had heard about the World Wide Web, and how amazing it was. And about "surfing" the web. All the information you want.
I remember exactly where I was sitting, in my bedroom in an apt in El Paso, TX. Turning my new Sony PC on for the first time. I didnīt know if I should put on a seatbelt or helmet or both, cause here the WWW was coming. I really thought I would turn it on, and bells and whistles and disco lights would go off, and the monitor would suck me into this amazing new world.
......then nothing...absolutely nothing. This program called windows 95, and a browser, and a click here and a click there...lol
Seriously one of the biggest disappointments of my life.
...this comes close! Where the hell is the party..lol
