I have a question? Is it common for the authorities to surfe this site in the hopes of busting a little guy using steroids for recreational personal use?

On the "something other than your face" bit. I don't think you'd want your employer to know you're coming here, especially if you are in an industry that is uptight like mine is. Simply by coming here, your employer would most likely jump to certain conclusions, and one of them might be your taking certain "illegal" performance enhancing drugs.

People think I'm nutty as a squirrel turd for being paranoid about this stuff but the fact is that if you get caught with ANY steroid in your possession that is not prescribed it IS a class 3 felony, it don't make a bit of difference if you label yourself as a "recreational user" a prison cell is a prison cell. I doubt the DEA will spend a bunch of time on a small time user but they do know who you are, my God I could locate 90% of you on a map in less than 5 minutes, all I know is that I have a script for every steroid in my possession, the DEA may not care much about you but your local small town PD might like a bust like that, make em look good in the paper the next day. Loose lips sink ships.

Personally I'm not too woried about it! Just curious! If they want to bust steroid users then all they need to do is show up at any given competition and start testing on probable cause!

How do you know they haven't used boards like these as a lead to an investigation or contacts.......of course they do, that's why there are rules about what can be discussed. No I don't believe that they will kick someones door down because they mention using, but that info can and will be used if needed to further an investigation. Maybe some of the cops on the board will chime in didn't think so.

Well if they are bustin it's just because steroids have killed so many thousands of people and devastated many families with the horrors of a loved one on steroids. And they are so easy to spot anywhere as they are the healthy looking ones, whereas it's so difficult for LEA to spot meth heads because they do such a great job of hiding their addictions well except for the rotted teeth skin and bones look, large puss sores on their faces from constant picking, lights on in their houses all hours of every night, horrid chemical smells coming from their basements. And I can think of so many people right now who have died from steroids take for instance, no wait, but there was, no he died from a car wreck, but then, no well on second thought I can't think of any.

yes they are on the boards. Have they used info gathered on boards yes. To go after sources. Not the normal member.

People get packages caught by customs all the time. And nothing happens. They send you a letter. They arent coming to a person home because they are a member of a steroid board.

The title of this thread makes me wonder now just what the authorities do on their job on this quest. Do you suppose it's some big old overweight guy in a mail room off the inside of the federal building who sits all day and night reading all the posts on all the BB forums while he eats his donuts and pizza and diet coke, looking for clues to someone or someones who might be dabbling in the recreational usage of steroids ? All while when alone he is secretly surfing the web on government time looking at porn. And since this guy is really overweight himself and a loser in the dating game of life, a real dumb ass who can't do anything anyways so they put him on the job of steroid sniffing in the forums...I think we are pretty safe from loser Joe from Idaho who eats his own boogers and lives to watch Beavis and Butthead.
