    Looking for some new movies

Every once and a while we have the movie thread but I'm looking for a new movies, doesn't matter how old they are but I'm looking for

More of a realism / artistic direction here are a few gems that I've found that kind of gives you a hint as far as what I'm looking for...

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1294688/ = last night

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1531663/ = everything must go

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1283887/ = burning palms

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460745/ = chaos theory

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0305206/ = american splendor

Anybody else have any interesting movies or just plain great ones that may not be very well known?

I have yet to see the american splendor one it got mixed up in the list somehow, it was part of a totally different list I had

The will ferrell one was actually very good... I would recommend it along with all of the other ones on the list

Burning palms was super strange but I enjoyed it a lot

I heard about crash but haven't seen it, thanks for the tip ill have to check that one out.

Never heard of the sisters keeper one ill look into it. Benjamin button was not realism but still one of those unforgettable strange movies I like.

So far in my life a lot of movies have been powerful and meaningful for me. These include A Few Good Men, The Professional, Man On Fire, Predator, Over The Top, Schindler's List, Fearless.. probably get flamed for this but Jerry Maguire is one of my favs as well. Out of every movie ive ever seen in my whole life there is one that really has made a difference in how I experience the world and its this movie:

"The Stand" is, imho, stephen king's very best work. It's almost 900 pages of small font type. i've read it at least 8 times, and plan to read it again. Last time i read it was maybe 3 years ago. I've actually wore out copies, with pages falling out of the soft back version.

the movie is damn good. each segment (there are 4) are 90 minutes long.

Very well written, very well acted. Not a molly ringwald fan, but somehow she did excellent here.

some of Stephen Kings movies kinda bombed.... Cujo, Langoleres, IT, the list goes on and on......

    this one Smokes!

Ordinarily, I don't stick my neck in the noose endorsing movies, but for this one I will. And if you don't like it, I'll refund your money

    Serioous!
