    Endo in Ft. Lauderdale

Anyone have experience with a good Endo in Ft. Lauderdale?
I´m asking on behalf of a 34 yo female with 5.4 TSH and rising.
    Probably Hypothyroidism, right?

Which section can I post her results, and start a thread? Maybe there are some females with similar issues here, or maybe she can get some alternative suggestions or help.

    Thanks guys.

I would post her BW in the HRT forum...I would think? Just to be safe, why don't you go ahead and edit this thread and post the results here as well ~ couldn't hurt. : )

You said her TSH is "rising". If so, post those results and when the BW was done for those tests as well. If her Free T4 and Free T3 levels were done be sure to post those as well. Post any symptoms that she's been having as well (e.g. dry/brittle hair, hair loss, dry skin, weight changes, menstrual cycle changes, etc) if any at all.

If she's having any problems it may or may not be her thyroid. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in July but my "normal" TSH levels, according to my Doc, was in the range of 0.40 - 5.50. Mine was 1.572. So, it was "normal" but low normal. My T3 levels were off the charts low.

If no one has any suggestions for a good Endo then I would recommend her going to an Anti-Aging/Wellness clinic. That's just me, though. I went to three different doctors (two of them twice) in less than two years. It wasn't until I went to an Anti-Aging Clinic that my symptoms were finally adressed. Wherever she ends up going just be sure to have an entire panel done, especially of all of her hormones. Tell her to make sure they check ALL of her hormones and do an entire thyroid work-up.

If you move this thread post a link so I can follow, please. I'm very interested to see what's going on and I know there is another lady or two here that has some experience in this area regarding thyroid issues as well. (Much moreso than myself and for a longer period of time). Hope this was helpful, Flier.

    Thanks Lady,

I think an anti aging clinic is the way to to. She likes Caroline Sutherland, who has a couple of recommendations for clinics in the area, so we´ll start there.

She does have symptoms like tired/sluggishness, dry skin, irritable, weight gain/loss of firmness, menstrual cycle usually on time but 2 weeks late last time.

    TSH(0.450-4.5):
    01/06/2010 : 5.11
    02/01/2010 : 4.2
    10/21/2010 : 4.48
    12/01/2011 : 5.40...Estradiol : 60.5.....T3 : 90 (71-180)

She was prescribed Synthroid 2 years ago, but hate synthetics, and did the Holistic/Herbal/Healing/Detox treatment. As you see, she managed to reduce her TSH for a while, but now it´s getting worse.
So she has again been prescribed Synthroid, but don´t want to take.
I told her to eat lots of veggies, low carb, omega 3, no tofu, no coffee, no cabbage, no tap water, no sugar, and basically clean eating which she has been doing anyway.
Also supplement with Biotics GTA and Meda-stim, which is Thyroid support and a T4 to T3 conversion aid.
She may have been predisposed to this, but may have been accelerated by some stupid Vegan diet she did a few years ago, that almost killed her when she went anemic.
The BW above is all she got (insurance), but she called the doc back, and asked for T4, FSH, LH, and basically a full panel if they could.

I will make a thread in HRT.

    Thanks
