    yeah man

how about that the house and senate just passed a bill that allows detention of u.s. citizens indefinitely without a trial? isn't that against the very foundation ?

how about that obama said he was going to remove the troops day 1? and they didnt come out until yesterday...but apparently thousands of contractors have moved in, oh yeah and George W outlined that the troops would be out by Dec 31st 2011 in the infamous shoe throwing speech

How about that local pds are now using predator drones for petty criminals?

how about that barack obama and john mccain both had more or less the same people backing them in the 2008 election?

    how about operation northwoods?

how about our soldiers who have died for a war that was fought under a proven lie?

how about that newt gingrich is very obviously bought and paid for?

how about mitt romney as well?

how about mitt romneys grandfather going to mexico to practice mormonism and be a polygyamist?

how about that alcohol and tobacco are still very legal and accessible?

how about that some people believe cancer is merely a lack of nutrient, why are turkish apricot seeds illegal?

why can we not buy anything without corn in it?

why can we not buy anything without 1000 ingredients?

why is depression and anxiety and bpd and adhd and cancer all soaring?

why are the nicest suites at football stadiums labeled with names like TEVA, ROCHE, ASTRA ZENECA etc?

why can we not trust our congress to help us out?

why has the patriot act been used to capture more petty drug users than terrorists?

why is the war on terrorism a never ending war?

why is that good for a certain few companies?

why are prices rising in the U S?

why is the eurozone going to fail?

why will the U S bail them out?

why are certain institutions funneling money out of the US ?

why does occupy wall street kinda make sense?

why is half of america poor?

why the F are THESE QUESTIONS NOT DISCUSSED EVERY NIGHT TO NO END ON MAINSTREAM TELEVISION?

why is DANCING WITH THE STARS the most important thing on everyones mind?

why do all the poorest people i know - have the newest iphone before anyone else?

    where did we go wrong?

    ::stepping off the soapbox::

Props for not snitching. If he had broken under the government pressure and named names there would have been many individuals and families ruined. 2 years probation is nothing. However, there have been steroid cases where probation was handed down with conditions including not using steroids or any other drugs. Cant remember the individual but they actually tested him for steroids and he failed and served a jail sentence rather than probation.

I wonder how much taxpayer money the gov't spent in total on prosecuting this dangerous criminal and bringing him to justice.

Biggest waste of money ever... like when the US government went after Tommy Chong for selling a bong over the internet, which cost US taxpayers $15 million.

You're missing the point altogether. What business is it of the federal gov't whether or not players of professional sports, which is the private sector, take steroids or not. He should not be scrutinized or held to any higher standards or punishment than the average gym goer using AAS would. If MLB wants to impose some kind of penalty or delete his records than so be it but it should have nothing to do with my tax dollars or the fed gov't.

Also, think about how popular MLB became when McGwire and Sosa were both chasing the homerun record (both on steroids). Everywhere they played was sold out and broke most previous attendance records as well as tv viewing records. The same thing happened when Bonds was about to break the record all over again. How was this a bad thing for baseball?

All in all, it was a great thing for baseball, it rejuvenated the sport and spiked revenue like never before, and I could give a fvck less about Aaron's or Ruth's or anybody else's records.

MLB should have handled this - not congress or the supreme court.
Yes he pujured himself- but the hearings never should have taken place.
Are there congressional hearings everytime a bunch of guys use drugs at their job ? Thats what this amounts too....
    Dog and fvcking pony show.....

Oh and should he go to jail...well given the facts the hearings did take place...and he did lie - yes he should.
Hes lucky he only got what he did- 1 month house arrest is NOT jail...and any retard can walk off 2 years probation- he prob wont even have to report.
But again the whole thing is bs and should have never taken place.

Personally, I struggle with this issue. I would probably lie if someone asked me if I took steroids . People hint about it when I post pics on Facebook, and since it is out where everyone can see it, I talk about good diet, hundreds of chickens, hours in the gym...It is tough when guys are doing something illegal AND frowned upon by the public.

BUT, once it gets elevated to obstruction of justice or perjury, I would consider telling the truth.
