Did you take typing in high school? Get much flack for that? LOL

I took typing in college when I started computer classes. It was the first course i took and one of the smartest things Ive ever done. Yeah that's not saying much. LOL I think I only graduated with 80 wpm but it was enough to get me an A out of the class.

It's SO nice to be able to type and not look at the keyboard, talk or watch TV at the same time LOL Most of the time my main mistake is when I write the I spell it teh, fingers work faster than the brain...

i took typing in college, i think in 1988. i was trained on an ele typewriter, and not to look at the page. but on my laptop, i watch what i type (output) and it becomes a distracting feedback loop.

this means i'm watching what i type instead of thinking about what i want to type.

but get me transposing an article into a word.doc and my keyboard sounds like a machine gun going off

My stupid keyboard does the same thing. HATE IT! I pretty much have to go back over and add letters.

again, i know admin is working on it. the other thing i notice is that it seems to happen more in the middle of my day, which means for the rest of you, the middle of your night. alot of BB's, possibly including this one, might be reindexing, or other nightly maintence when the data stream is at a low point.

for example, it seems fine for me right now.

This was happening last night on the site. I suck at typing and have to keep my eyes on the keyboard when I type. So when this happens and I look up and see letters still coming after I am done typing I think I a having a supernatural moment.
