this is my daily carry. Standard issue Beretta 9mm.
How is Hawaii with getting CCW licenses? Last I heard, they were right up there with Illinois. CA isn't all that easy, a lot depends on the county you live in.

JD - What kind of bow's do you have. I've been looking at the Bowtech Assassin. Great RAK setup for the money.

If you carry a gun you should check out this site and check the map. They also have petitions you can sign for gun rights.

Presuming if you already carry a gun then you also carry a CCW license.

I have peace officer status so I can carry in any state in the US. I carry a Glock 27 .40 caliber. Although I have not been carrying it for a few years. I just went through some training an saw some shit that has me thinking I should be carrying it regularly.

IMO I think the Sigs are much better than glocks...more dependable.
If I didnt already have the Glock 23 or so use to it I would probably go with the Sig P220 also. I use to carry one before the Glock but the 2nd wife bought me a Glock for my birthday. The Sig was not mine at the time. Sig is a little smaller, easier to conceal and also as accurate and reliable as the Glock. I like the fact I dont have to remember to turn to safety off on the Glock though, no 2nd thoughts.

I owned a few others but after having a couple of them jam due to dirty ammo I dont want to ever chance that again. Can you imagine the one time in your life you NEED your gun and it goes click because it was not clean enough? The Glock you can throw in the mud, leave it burried in the sand box for a week and pick it up, pull the trigger and it's going to fire accurately every time.

Then I would spend an extra 10 minutes ever day deciding which one I wanted to take or I would have to get new accessories so I could carry both. LOL

^^^ even better, i have a buddy who has an old p89 so I jumped to a conclusion, I like those Rugers, the P series isn't really designed for CCW but in the winter you can have one in a heavy coat no problem, tough guns, they just keep on working, I've never had any sort of fail with my p90.

Less than 18 inches is illegal but I'm not sure how the law reads, consider the "Judge" and "Public Defender" which both shoot not only the .45 long colt but 3 or 3.5 inch 410 shot shells. BTW, carrying a 410 wheel gun loaded with 5.... 00buck shot shells would give a man a certain feeling of confidence in the bad parts of town wouldn't it? I need one......

    Why Carry a Gun?

My old grandpa said to me 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life when
he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and
usually it's when he becomes too old to take an ass whoopin.'

I don't carry a gun to kill people.
I carry a gun to keep from being killed.

I don't carry a gun to scare people.
I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.

    I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid.
I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.

    I don't carry a gun because I'm evil.
I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I don't carry a gun because I hate the government.
I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.

    I don't carry a gun because I'm angry.
I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating
myself for failing to be prepared.

I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone.
I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on
    a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

    I don't carry a gun because I'm a cowboy.
I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.

I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man.
I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones
    they love.

    I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am
    overwhelmed.

    I don't carry a gun because I love it.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to
    me.

    Police protection is an oxymoron.
    Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the
crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take
    an ass whoopin'

I was actually looking at a judge today for my girlfriend, but she's scared of recoil so its a no go...if I didn't already have a carry weapon I'd jump on it. Its duracoated black and the guy is selling it for $400....argh
