Are any of you truly wealthy? or successful?
Any of you guy truly wealthy? by this I dont mean 100 grand a year I mean you have a million plus in the bank? or your property and assets when sold would be worth millions?
If so what is the largest factor that set you apart from your peers and earned you this kind of money...other than hard work of course?

Primary way to reach that status is through a company or product you have created(there is much more, real estate, stocks, etc.). Money has to work for you and not vice versa. No, I have not reached millionaire status but I am well on my way.

misread.
Realist: A person who sees things as they truly are. A practical person. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails. — William Arthur Ward

Until I can stop working and enjoy the lifestyle I am currently used to I will not consider myself wealthy no matter how much money I have in the bank or what my assets are worth.
I have a business and have always kept a well paid job as well. Had some good investments that panned out as well. My mortgage is paid by rental units so I have no expense there.
I always pay full balance of credit cards so I never pay interest. Same with cars/bikes no loan = no interest. I live well below my means and always look for bargains without buying every new gadget crap that comes out.
So basically I work a lot and I'm a cheap bastard. hopefully it will all pay off and I can retire before I'm 80.

slfmade, lucky bastard
there is a difference between rich and wealthy
Kobe is rich, the guy who pays kobe is wealthy
You can be rich and go broke, but if your wealthy you never go broke.

Well that's not completely true. I love Arkansas. I'm a country boy at heart. If I could hunt and fish everyday for the rest of my life I would do it. If I had all the money in the world I would still move to arkansas. I like the simple life, with nice and simple people. I'm getting too old to party and tolerate peoples shit all the time.

I was headed in the right direction until divorce f@cked up my financials. But that's only money. To me success us being in control of your time. That's the one thing you can never make more or or get back when it's been wasted. I have a ways to go on that front.

I am not rish or wealthy. I also wish I had one million dollars.. I do make pretty good money, $25-30 per hr. My problem is I lost alot of drive, and even though my job is not hard, I just dont know how much longer I can do it... Its not what I thought Id grow up and be.. And If I leave this job now I will throw away 6 years with the company, 33 paid days off a year, great benifits, and I would be lucky to make half that amount working somewhere else.. But If I had one million, I would buy a $450 home and pay cash. I did just buy a 3 year old car with 28,000 miles which I consider a 'new' car, so I wouldnt buy a car.. But I would also buy another home either a summer home up north, or a winter home down south somewhere.. And prob pay another $350-400k for that. I would also take about 2 or 3 years off from work and buy alot of animals, cause I love animals..

Well I live in MA and would buy around MA... And really around here $450 isnt as much as you think, not like it would be in NH... Im looking to buy a home now between $225-325 with a 30 year fixed... And its pretty much alot of junk in that range...

Between the life insurance & the liquidation of the 2 companies, my old man left me & my 3 brothers & 1 sister a Mt. Everest sized pile of $$$$ when he died. That was the largest factor in my financial wealth, but I hav almost tripled my cash thru many smart & precisely calculated investments. I didn't earn it "from the ground up", but once I had it in my hands, I knew exactly how 2 mak it grow.

Lol you all need to move to australia!! Average wage here is super high! I dont want this post to seem like a brag but my old man has done really well for himself. He couldnt afford to go to school based grade 6. So his education stopped at 11. He moved here from greece at 19 not speaking any english and from hard work doing 100 hr weeks he now owns his own property developing business worth nearly 20 million dollars and completely owns a 7 million dollar house, paid off and all. It proves hard work can create opportunities and ultimately wealth. Now he works like 20 hrs a week at most and gets to tell ppl wat to do . but he would have nothing if it wasnt for determination he would still be screwing goats in a village
