Masters Week - Final Five Predictions

I think it will be an exciting tournament this year at The Masters.

    Top 5:

    1) Rory McIlroy
    2) Tiger Woods
    Hunter Mahan
    4) Jason Day
    5) Luke Donald
    6) Adam Scott

Also throwing in Patrick Cantlay and Kevin Na as potential dark horses to make some noise at Augusta.

    Anyone see it differently?

I would really like to see Bubba make a run. I know Augusta is set up for right handed players, but Bubba is so long, it really doesn't matter. I was looking for Dustin Johnson to be in it, but obviously that's not going to happen now that he has withdrawn. Here's how I see the top 5 -
    1. Bubba Watson
    2. KJ Choi
    3. Hunter Mahan
    4. Rory McIlroy
    5. Tiger Woods

I like Bubba a lot, and think he's definitely got the talent ... Just wondering if he's got the mindset to hold it together on Sunday if he's in contention. He's proven that his mind can sometimes get the best of him when the pressure is on, and there's no bigger pressure than Sunday at Augusta, a la Greg Norman back in the 90's.

I'm jealous. It's still in the high 60's here in NorCal. I was out in Arizona a couple weeks ago to watch some Spring Training games and planned on playing golf in the nice 80+ weather. However, that was not the case. On one round out there, it hailed on us. WTF? Hail in Phoenix in March? I would trade hot for cold any day.

Fred Couples in the lead!!! Don't know if that will hold up for the day, but what a story that would be.

Rory is 1 off, Tiger is hot & cold, but still in it. Should be a good weekend.

And Sergio ... Will he finally find a way? ... Tied for the lead at the moment, but can he finally start trusting his putter?

Knew I shouldn't have left Phil out of it. He's right there and will be the odds-on favorite for Sunday.

Surprised that Rory didn't rise up today. Also wish Freddy could have done better on Saturday to keep it interesting for Sunday. Tiger ... He's got a lot of the pieces back, but still has some work to do to get back to his old ways.

MHouse, you went with Bubba ... Could happen if he doesn't let his mind get the best of him tomorrow. I'd rather see him or Phil as opposed to Peter Hanson.

Absolutley an amazing golf shot on the second playoff hole. Glad he won it. Question I have is with some of the shots he shaped and as long as he is off the box, why does he not win more often.

MHouse called it!! Great tournament!! Now that Bubba has broke through, don't be surprised if he starts winning more majors. His biggest obstacle has been himself and his mind getting the best of him. Today, he knows that is all behind him, and he will have a different swagger about himself from hereon.

If only Phil could have avoided that tripple bogey!! Could have really made the finale even more theatrical.

Next up, the US Open ... Can't wait!

it seems as if the masters is always won by one magnificant shot. tiger's shot a few years ago, phatboy phil's shot out of the pine straw, and so on........... what a great a tourney!
