    FiTOUR® Primary Personal Trainer Certification

I'm thinking about taking the class, getting certified and trying to bring in some extra cash. Does anyone here have any experience as a personal trainer? Is their any money to be made at this I'm a student going to school without student loans and If i could make even just an extra hundred a week it would be great.

where do you plan on training them at?
Its going to take time and money to get clients.
if your just looking for $100 a week there are easier ways
and i never heard of Fitour. There are a million of meaningless certs out there.
If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

From my experience, the bigger gyms are much easier to build a clientele and make more money, but you have to charge a set amount and may have to work an entire 8 hour shift, even if you don't have clients the entire duration of your shift. In some smaller gyms I've been in/around, the trainers can set their own hours and hourly rate, pocket a lot more of the money, but the clients are harder to come by and the money you do make may not be enough to overcome your fees that you owe to the gym for letting you train there.

I was thinking about working for my gym as one of their trainers, but i wouldn't be opposed to freelancing I can take unlimited guests to my gym so i wouldn't have to pay any extra for the gym.

You may have to fly under the radar doing it that way since most gyms would probably throw you out or at least threaten to if they found out someone was training for pay in their gym without their consent.
