I think the 6 week rule is very old school. Look what they do with professional athletes. It doesn't matter if it's a knee, elbow or shoulder they have them up and working either the same or next day.

true, but do you think that they are prescribed GH or test to help the healing process? most professional athletes are genetic freaks. how are you feeling over there? hot nurses giving ya sponge bath? or do you need DSM to come help ya out with that

Feeling pretty good today for the most part. Going to physical therapy in a couple hours again.

I noticed a nice little bruise on the farm today that I didn't see before. I'll have to ask the doctor about that on my appointment wednesday.

No nurses or sponge baths from DSM. I was home less than 2 hrs after surgery. Check in 8:30 and home before 1pm.

The wife will take care of the sponge bath today.

It looks like the pictures went in upside down and I cannot rotate them sorry.

Looks like a vampire bit me a couple of time while I was out also. This is where they put the needle in to find the nerve to deaden the arm.

Looks worse bit feels better. More aggressive pt yesterday and I have been without the sling since then trying to use the arm as normal as possible and a lot of stretching.

It gets a little tight about 90 Dec but I can do full range of motion without much problem.

I have been using a lot of ice since day one but only on the shoulder.

He wanted me out of the sling and using it asap that's why my first pt was 24 hrs after surgery. I still use ice severeal times a day especially after stretching.

Honestly its better than I could have imagined. No more pain and it stretches a lot further than I thought would be possible at this point.

Everyone I have talked to who did not start pt right away had problems for months or years. So far so good I'm happy.

My back washer? Is it still gay if I have an attractive asian female who is using it to wash me? I guarantee my last bath I took I did none of the washing for scrubbing, not even wash in the hair.

I had my one week post Op checkup with the doctor yesterday. He said I'm a freak. lol I though his jaw was going to hit the ground when I put my arm above my head with no effort and from my side with palm out up 200 degrees. He said I was well beyond expectation and was making him look TO good.

I told him the first day of PT 24 hrs after surgery I was able to get to 110 deg and by day 5 I got to 180 but with effort and help from the PT.

Most of the time there is very little pain, only some discomfort especially after PT and when I have worked it quite a bit stretching or doing my exercises. I'm hoping he will release me in the next couple of weeks to do some light lifting.

I have attached his finding and pictures. I can post larger pictures of just the problem area if anyone wants to see them. The front pages are numbered with the pictures.

There are a couple good size tears, lots of shaving that needed done (fuzzy looking stuff) a few floaters (one looks like a marble) and bursitis (red area)

What's low activities? No I can do anything normal the same as before except I have weight limitations to my left arem, no weight lifting yet. Other than that everything is fair game. I have been using it to help lift 30 lbs bags of weed n feed, a welder and other things I probably should not have but he said do anything I want as long as it doesnt hurt.

I worked out for the 1st time tonight since my surgery 12 days ago with weights. I did dumbbell bench with 10 lbs and flys with 5 lbs. lol
Kept everything really really slow more to stretch than to lift. I also used 20 lbs for for lat pull-downs. I kept the workout fairly short also. I spent 2x a long just stretching.

Ill keep thinks at this lever for a couple of weeks and then if all goes well jump all the way up to 20lbs dumbbells for bench for 2-3 weeks.
