It's good fun, just takes a little to get your fingers used to the stretching and holding the strings, u'll get the calysts pretty quick though!
It was easy for me to learn! You will love it, great for your spare time on rest days

Like anything, it takes time, patience, and commitment.

Just depends on what you're wanting to put into it, and what you want to get out of it. I use my guitar as an outlet, kind of like one might do at the gym.

Kif, I suggest you just buy a cheap guitar if you want to get in to it. If you like playing then later on invest in a better guitar.

It's as difficult or as easy to play as you want it to be. If you want to sound like Pepe Romero, it's going to take years of hard work, but if you want to just have fun, you can be having that on the first day.

Yup I play acoustic and electric so do both of my daughters. Just like everyone is saying and frankly just like anything else, it takes time, patience and practice. Lots of fun. Check out Marty Schwartz on YouTube for some good on line lessons. I've learned lots of good fundamentals from his site.

What are you thinking of playing? You can get a decent Yamaha acoustic for a coupe hundred bucks - great for beginners.

    how hard is it?

hard is a relative term. if you have prior musical instrument experience, it will come to you easier than those that don't.

Guitar is hard. Look at it like this, as soon as you learn to do one thing, you just opened the door to the next challenge. I've been playing guitar since I was 12 and it's never become easy. I just keep finding more and more challenging of things to play.

It's exactly like marriage ... Both have strings attached, and both will scream when I get my fingers into them!
