Animal Lovers
I look at my 2 dogs and think there isn't any amount of money I would take to sell my dogs. Funny how some of us are animal lovers and others could care less. Sorry to go off on a rant was just watching a show on CNBC about animal poaching. I'm just looking to hear back from both animal lovers and not so animal lovers. Could you or would you sell your animal/pet for 10 million dollars, for me not even 1 trillion dollars, my dogs are part of my family.

I have always had dogs or cats since a kid but bottom line they are just animals and I would not spend a lot of money on them. In a starvation situation I would eat them also with little to no guilt. No matter how much love or affection you think you are getting from them it is nothing compared to what you can get from a real human-being. I would easily choose a $0.35 cure for cancer over $1000s for my dog/cat.
Sorry but I think people who say they would spend any amount of money for their dog/cat to help them are either so rich they have no respect for money or out of touch with the human race and reality. Just my .02

Yeah, I probably would. Hell, for $10 million I could think of a few human members of the family that I would give serious thought to selling! I guess it depends on who I would be selling them to, though.

True, like the mortgage company, utility company, grocery store, gas stations, bank for car payments, tuition for school, clothing stores, night clubs, movie theaters, restaurants, airlines, resorts. They all seem to really value money a lot...
$1800 is a round trip ticket to Thailand or Philippines and enough for hotel and a fair bit of fun for a week if you budget it right.

Had a Golden Lab for 11 years then had to put him down due to arthritis, loss of sight and a few other issues. I think it'll be a while before I'll be able to get another puppy.s

LOL, well there are always cruises then. I like them all and I didnt like/was afraid to leave the county until my first trip the Thailand now I cant get away enough. I did Thailand 3x in one year, Philippines 5x in 2 years. I typically go on at least 2 cruises a year and just got back from one 2 weeks ago form Miami, key west, Jamaica, Grand cayman. No way I would spend $$$ on a prostitute especially when you can get a full time girlfriend for $20 a day in Thailand or Philippines that will cook for you, bath you, give you manicures, pedicure, clean up after you all without any complaints; IF you want to pay for it but in retrospect, dont we all pay on way or another? lol

I'm with ya Kif, to an extent... 10 million $ is serious cash and would make life 100x easier. It would heavily depend on the situation.
However, my dog is like my child. If my house caught fire and she was trapped in, I would go in and save her without a thought for my own safety. If it came down to saving her or a bus full of 100 ppl, I'm saving her.
This will sound crazy to most people, but it is what it is. I love her like a child and believe the world is over populated anyway. With the exception of friends and family, I could care less about people. Seeing an animal hurt/killed tugs my heart, seeing the same happen to a person I don't know doesn't affect me anywhere near as much.

Actually it's just the opposite, you love you dog more than a child or other human life. Sorry but that's sort of messed up. The world is over populated with some types of people but statistically speaking it is far from being crowded when it comes to real-estate, there is a LOT of vacant land out there. We just have most people jammed into small locations.
Honestly I wont even swerve to miss a dog anymore or most any animal for that unless they are bigger than my car. LOL I I'm not going to fast and I'm 100% I can avoid them I will but I will NOT swerve and chance loosing control endangering myself or someone else. If I do hit a dog (and I have) I will check it's collar so I can contact the owner so they can pay for any damages to my car. Yes I have done it and yes they had to pay.Last edited by lovbyts; 06-12-2012 at 07:56 AM.

I was actually offered $6,000 for my dog once. I didn't sell him. He's my homeboy (he actually saved my little sisters life once) and that'd be like turning my back on a best friend for money. I have integrity and couldn't fathom doing that. Money comes and goes. If I really needed it, I'll just put my Glock in your face and take your money...but I don't, so I wont do that.
The guy offered me the money because he wanted what I have, not because he loves dogs. It was simply a power game. This guy is irresponsible and a total jerk off and I'm positive my dog would be dead or in a shelter somewhere within 2 weeks. No thanks.

gixx load her up on nolva for a while. I kid.
I'm not that big of an animal lover, liked them as a kid, and like animals to a degree, just don't like them in my house or pooping in my yard.
I could sell animals for money, but never people.

It's funny to see people spend big $$ on expensive dog food, worrying about their dogs feelings, doing the kissy face thing with them.....
.....I get to watch my dog go in the back yard and eat it's own shiit

We rescue, foster, rehab, train, and work with service/therapy dogs. Last weekend we had 17 dogs at the house waiting for transport to there forever homes. I would never sell my bulldog.

Well I think Id do just about anything for 10 million. Hell Id take the ten mil for my pet, then pay someone 50 grand to steal him back!!!! That being said I agree I tend to care more for animals than people. Other than my wife, mom, sis and a couple close friends I love my pet more than anyone, and would put them first over human life. Like soneone else said I just have a heart for animals, I cant even watch those humaine society commercial, I change the channel, it breaks my heart, But seeing people struggle doesnt pull at my heart the same way. If I see a little puppy I want to roll around hugging it. Babies however annoy me and do nothing for me...(hopefully that will change when I have one someday, lol) but thats just the way it is.
