    Wolverine 2 looses it's director.

    Darren Aronofsky No Longer Directing The Wolverine

    Darren Aronofsky and Twentieth Century Fox today issued the following statements about the director's involvement in the movie, The Wolverine.

    Stated Aronofsky: "As I talked more about the film with my collaborators at Fox, it became clear that the production of 'The Wolverine' would keep me out of the country for almost a year. I was not comfortable being away from my family for that length of time. I am sad that I won't be able to see the project through, as it is a terrific script and I was very much looking forward to working with my friend, Hugh Jackman, again."

    Stated Twentieth Century Fox: "While we are of course disappointed that Darren can't do 'The Wolverine,' we also understand and respect his reasons. Having done both 'The Wrestler' and 'Black Swan' with Darren, we know he is an extraordinary talent and we look forward to working with him on other projects in the future. Hugh Jackman and Fox both remain fully committed to making 'The Wolverine.' We will regroup and move forward aggressively."

    X-men first class looks good, cant really screw up Ghost rider more than Cage already did...

    Transformers 3 set for July as well... finally an installment without that nasty ass Megan fox in there... should make it more enjoyable

    I agree Ghost Rider was awful.
    The one thing X-Men First Class that has going for it is the guy who directed "Kick Ass" is directing it.
    I am just not sure if people are going to go for an X-Men movie with Wolverine in it. He is a big draw for that franchise.

    I think they will, the story has been built up enough that people want to see the beginning. I think they threw in enough hotties to draw a lot of guys. Not having that "hollywood hunk" for the girls may be a setback but we'll see. Not having those big names also means the costs are way down which means they dont need to make as much for it to be successful

    The budget for First Class is 80 million. By todays standards that is low for a super hero film so it could definately turn a profit.

    big thor fan as a kid but I have a concern. my gut tells me if Thor isn't done well, it could really suck. I hope this isn't going to be a camp flick like some of the old superman movies were. a big swede bloke with a heavy accent with wings on his hat and a fancy hammer... i dunno.... almost sounds like something Shol'va would cook up in one of his fantasies????
