killing in the U.S.
I was watching the news last night and I was pissed and embarrassed any the same time. Everyday in my city it have at least 3-4 people getting killed for stupid reasons. It's like you can't even go nowhere to enjoy yourself or have fun.

I've made up my mind that I'm going to open carry. If I can't go somewhere with my gun on my side I'm not going especially if I'm with my kids.

Well this happens in most larger cities. Chicago, Houston, LA, etc... It happens so often that you don't hear about any of it until it's a mass murder. I agree, it sucks and I wish it didn't happen.
As for Guns, well... I keep one in my car and one in my house. Both XDM 40's. Never had to use the one in my car, but I have used (not shot), the one in my house after an attempted break in. You can't NOT protect yourself.

Yeah even here in KC there are constant killings every day. And it's dangerous to walk at night in many parts of the city. This is America, the bastion of freedom and democracy and it now comes to a point where we have to protect ourselves from the criminals because they have the most rights. Everyone regardless of their age, sex, sexuality, etc should be able to be outside anytime anywhere in the US without fear of rape or murder. This is the part of our society that I hate. I wonder if the laws were changed to make criminals have stricter sentencing and the death penalty reinstated, if that would change the minds of these low lives who prey on the weak, elderly and children here. I only wish that the powers that be do a 5 year trial with stricter laws and enforcement to see what the results would be.

I recently applied for my conceled weapons permit, whenever I do open carry some people give a crazy look and some of the older people give me a thumbs up. I have a Sig p220 that I always carry and by the bed I have a Mossberg 500 pistol grip. When I'm home alone I don't be overly alert than I would when my 9 year old and my 7 month are there.

I carry all the time, either a 40 cal walther.. or a 40 cal taurus... smart carry or a wallet holster..
Open carry is inviting trouble..
concealed simply enables you to feel safer.. you are not a law enforcement person, taking action to protect others will see you in jail . or dead sooner or later. The answer to your every question

When I went saw Batman a couple weeks ago I open carried. When I walked in I pointed at I gun to show the cop, he gave me a thumbs and I kept walking. My daughter called me a cowboy lol. It had a guy sitting next to us with his wife and kid heard what we was taking about. He also was carrying so he cracked a joke saying if you miss I got him lol

I carry a sig p229 .40, And keep it next to my bed at night. Very few people would be dumb enough to kick in someones door in my town, everyone has guns here. That would just be asking to get shot. Still though we had an attempted murder a week or so ago by some guys that live 5 houses down the street, there are the few weird creepy people here.
