Solid list. .44 caliber love letter by Alexisonfire is a bad-ass song.

I'm in to Snoop, Dre, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, Wu Tang, Geto Boyz, and SPM (among others). But rap and hip hop of today really fvcking sucks as$. Rappers today have the lamest lyrics and poor rhythm and delivery. They sound like retarded kids who are illiterate, trying to read out loud a shopping list

Typically I dont listen to anything. I find it distracting to all the chatter going on inside my head.

I agree, sometimes it is best to just focus on the work. Any cardio work though, gotta have a soundtrack

Absolutely not. I dont hip, and I certainly dont 'hop'. The sounds of the songs arent the problem really. The problem is that I cannot relate to the lyrics at all, what so ever. Whereas with rock, and punk rock, emo, screamo, etc, I can relate to the things in the songs, about love, anger, etc. Conversely, with regards to rap&Hip-hop, I have never "slapped my bitch," committed an armed robbery, sold illegal drugs on the street corner, done a drive by shooting, been shot at by a drive by shooter, flashed by gang signs, called or been called 'dog' or 'homeboy'. Additionally, the culture and language sickens me. I wear my pants around my waist, I dont tattoo my face, I dont glorify impregnating women and then leaving them, and probably most importantly, I SPEAK ENGLISH PROPERLY. Nothing infuriates me more then these people BUTCHERING the English language, nahhhhhhh mean yo?... A sentence does not START and END with the word "YO." It can be slang in place of 'Hello' but it certainly does not end a sentence. When people who use this vernacular try to speak to me, I pretend to not understand what they are saying, even if I can in fact discern their mindless fu*king drivel that they think are coherent words. I once had a female ask me if I was "storyin on her." Now, I was able to figure out that she asked if I was telling a lie, but me, not wanting to reward someone for speaking like a total motherfu*king retard, pretended that I had no idea what the fu*k she was trying to say. So, I dont listen to hip hop and rap for many more reasons then just the fact that I dont like the music and the lyrics (I dont), but also because of everything the music represents and the culture it tries to promote. Lol, a particular instance sticks out in my head from high school that still cracks me up to this day, it was 2005, and I guess it had become popular to say the word "One" when saying goodbye, instead of just saying bye. Well, me being the creative asshole that I am, whenever someone would say this to me I'd reply with "Two......Three?"....... Lol

"One?" What the fvck? That has to be something you made up. I don't speak Ebonics, but that can't be a real word in their urban vernacular.

Ohhhhh yes....they used to say "One Love" as a way to say goodbye, but alas, they shorten and shorten words, because the calories expended on saying the full word are just too too much, that back then, they shortened 'One Love' to simply saying "ONE" when saying goodbye, with the 'Love' part understood or implied. Hahaha...
