Lol yes, bunch of hillbilly's, hunting on my dads land which is valued at $5million dollars, waking up and getting ready to go hunting in my $750k house, and getting my shotgun out of the back of my $60,000 car.... I sure am roughing it!......Most hillbillys by the way, cannot afford to go on hunts to Maine and Alaska for black bear and such. My father, uncle, and I, each have spent thousands of dollars to go shoot a bear, pay a guide, lodging, etc. It's not like Deliverance, we're not out there shooting Squirrels and eating the brains out of them. It's your choice if you dont want to eat venessin, or wild turkey, ducks, etc, but dont knock it for those of us who do.

Reality television is the bain of American society, it is the degredation of the social fabric. My least favorite are the "wars".... Border Wars, Junk Wars, Storage Wars, Auction Wars, and any other show where there is any chance of a protagonist, just call it a war!

In Jersey we can't use rifles, so this year I'm gonna be hunting with a new Savage 212, it's a 12 gauge BOLT ACTION rifled slug gun...I was previously using a pump action Mossberg 20 ga. with a rifled barrel, I'm effective to about 160 yards with it. The Savage 212 however is supposed to have an effective range of about 300 yards tops, that is pretty damn impressive for a 12ga slug. I use Lightfield Sabots, but I'm going to be using Hornady SST's this year, to make up for the loss in flat trajectory of the 20ga. I hunt mostly deer, but also enjoy snow geese, pheasent, and duck.

The SST's are what I use in my 20. Holy shit the velocity is awesome. They are great. Some guys I hunt with have switched to the partition golds but I am happy with the SST (other than price).

Aint that the truth. I have deer hunted for a number of years with a Doctor that REFUSES to dress his deer he shoots. He is lucky the landowners and other ppl are willing to do it. Not this cat! I handed him my knife one day...he stood there looking stupid till someone came and did it for him

We have our own land, I pull up and park at our cabin, take my gun out, and then drive a quad to the area I want to be in, and then walk into my blind or stand....When I shoot something, I bring it back on the front rack of the quad....Booooyahh....lol

Not a better battlefield rifle was ever made!!!

M-1A (M-14)...some people say they are diferent but they are about the same system...308 is just a shorter shell casing than 30-06, takes the same bullet...wider magazine capacity. i hunt with a 5 round but carry some 20 round mags in case of wolves...we have BIG wolf problem, not so much a Bear problem(Sholv'va)
