Somehow it grips me. Maybe cause all the gun stuff in it. Idk I'm not to keen on the soap opera effects that it has but I can live with it.

Kind of interesting you just watch football and this. The truth is i've been a fan almost since issue 1 of the comic. I have been a romero fan (dawn of the dead and day of the dead movies) since forever. I am surprised it took this long to get zombie survival fiction into the spotlight.

It's a good show, but here's my honest opinion about it.
Too much drama, not enough zombie killing.

I should add this. I stopped watching the show after they spent half a seaon trying to save Rick's kid that no one who watched the show cared about (I was just waiting for him to die each episode, so they could move on to things people care about, like zombie killing). And the other half of the season was spent trying to find the whiny bald ladies daughter.

ShredMN I guarantee you the writers directors know how you feel. Even on piratebay everyone says stop the emotional shit storm and just get the action done. AXx honestly nothing wrong with a little football and zombies. Honestly everything you watch on tv could be conceived as crap so these are the best of the crap.

Asiandude, if you want to watch a show with zombies, and lots of zombie killing. Watch "High school of the dead (anime). It's great, there is no lack of zombie killing to be found.

i may have a weird taste when it comes to tv shows. i know everyone here loves Sons of Anarchy. so i went and tried the first season, right from the beginning..... sorry, boring....haha.
i might give walking dead a try after the current seasons of Homeland/Dexter/Fringe ends. time management gets a little tricky...

To me the drama makes sense. In a world gone to hell some would cling to their humanity and try to rebuild some form of society with social norms and moral i.e rick well some would do very well in a world in a world with no social norms or morals i.e shane. I think its more of a story about trying to keep your humanity in a world gone to hell then just about zombie killing, maybe thats why it appeals to such a broad audiance.

The last episode Rick was a bad ass, this episode was blah, all the black woman (sorry dont know her name) did was scowl the whole time and it got real old.
