Realist: A person who sees things as they truly are. A practical person. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails. — William Arthur Ward

Congratulations to our next prez. Barack Obama for term two. We all saw it coming. Plus there was little to no choice and he already is there so 4 more years and either he will do us all good or go down as a has been. Hey we gave Bush 8 years and he put us into 2 wars and we still haven't found the weapons of mass destruction that he said was why we went into Iraq in the first place. So, 4 more years with a winding down of wars or Romney with more wars to come....

If Obama gets another 4 years we had all better learn to speak Manderin since China will own us by then or the middle East. Only positive side I can see if maybe aas powders will be legal. Downfall is most people wont be able to afford them due to no jobs.
BTW yes I already voted.

You mean an interview? lol God I can only imagine some of the questions in regards to Asian girls and age. lol
Hopefully it is all for the greater good in the long run whoever wins. I just hope I'm very wrong with the way I have been seeing things going the last couple of years because if I'm not it's going to get a lot worse quickly.

For the first time in 4 or 5 years my business is rolling. The Bush years wiped me out, along with many of friends and family in the same business. Mitt Romney is just another GW.

Either you own a check cashing/loan business, pawn shop or welfare office. lol
No matter what there is always going to be someone getting rich and someone getting poor or not doing good. If your business is doing good then you need to than Obama, like he said YOU are not responsible for the success, it's the government.

no offense but that's not the case. My business crashing was out of my hands. I spent a fortune on advertising and other marketing products trying to attract customers that no longer were there lol. It was crushed by government and GW letting billionaires loose on Wall Street and allowing the credit and mortgage crisis to happen, which wiped out millions of families...losing homes and jobs. And the net affect wiped out some huge banks, and many companies related to real estate like Caterpillar, Home Depot, Countrywide, all the national home builders, etc etc were also severely impacted. We are just now starting to recover from that mess.
edit: Barack Obama is not responsible for the turn around. I thinks it couldnt get much worse, the the positive change is cylical in some ways. btw I'm a republican...but barely. They really ****ed me over last time.Last edited by DeniZen; 11-06-2012 at 09:39 AM.

"Give a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach a man how to fish, he eats for a lifetime."
^^I think the two presidential candidates can be summed up in that quote.

I'm not going to argue that Bush definatly helped mess things up especially with the banks and wallstreet or at least it was under his watch. I just dont see things going the right direction under the curent administrations. I love what he has to say, I just dont like what he is doing and the fact they are two entirely diffent things.
I would not put bush and Romney in the same category though. I think they are as far apart as Bush and Obama. I had high hopes for Obama but they have been replaced by frustration and disappointment. I dont think that Romney is going to be a savior by any means but if he does 1/4 of what he says he is going to we will have a brighter future and going back on the right direction. I dont like having a welfare state and so many people feeling entitled to xyz and.
I dont think any of the bail outs helped any one except the people who made the messes so they could keep making the big bucks and bonuses. It didnt help any of the people who really needed it or who were hurt. People like to say Republicans are all about the rich but I dont see it that way, just the opposite. The democrats (or in this case Socialist) just hide what they are doing by saying they are helping the public and people blindly believe what they say instead of seeing what they do. Just my .02

I meant the edit. I think as the US economy moves forward and international markets play a larger role, political and ideological battles (right vs left) with have less impact. That's what I meant by the recovery really can't be accredited to Obama.
btw my business is heavily affected by monetary policy, mortgage markets, money markets, etc. It could have been a 100 years old and still got hammered. Many huge huge old companies are non-existent today. This was all GW stuff and I'm still pissed at the little ****er lol

I absolutely hate Obama and his moronic policies....sad thing is its a choice between him and the grinning idiot on the other side of the equation.
PS Sholva, I voted to let you mancandymunchers marry.....I see no reason why gays should not have to suffer the way the rest of us do :-)

one thing that pissed me off last night was watching General 'Colon' Powell lie on national television about how Obama has improved jobs and oil industry?
WTF! the oil industry? he shut down offshore drilling!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol stirring is correct,
But for an incumbent president to be tied 47-47 to 49 to 49 in polls is VERY BAD, seeing that most republicans do a point better because most don't poll. Undecideds tend to vote challenger & even Obamas campaign said they'd rather be in Romneys shoes.
As for WMDs. I always chuckle at that. Late 03 & early o4 we had teams scouring that country for anything... Anything found was whisked away. I sure found a lot of "pesticides" in huge underground bunkers. Guess that bug control was a huge issue, along with disposing of shytloads of old ammunition that was fired at the Kurdish (guess what that's classified under).
IMO, it's better to take a small hit & say no WMDs than have to show whatever was found to the international community. After all we didn't have international (UN) backing at the time. Besides Iraq was more than just securing future (stable) oil trade, it was strategically imperative! We used to have to rely on Turkey for Air ops in the middle east. Now we have our wn secure area dead smack in the middle & nobody (oh Iraq) to stop us from staging. Staging in Iraq is much better than Kuwait/Turkey
As for the election. This will be very close, still as an incumbent I would worry. Being in Alaska our few electorals go to Romney. Cheers

I don't like half the things Obama has done but I also don't trust Mr. All Smiles Romney. So it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't kind of election. We can only hope that no matter the outcome the future will be brighter for us all. But it has been a crazy election year even for Missouri who has a man running for congress that believes in female rape, even calling it legitimate. So it's all bizarre this year. BTW I just voted, and will be glad when all the ads are over including all those automated phone calls...

OMG i just read on the internet that if Obama looses tonight he will sign a executive order putting effect in marshall law. And he is going to use WMD on the religious right since he is a muslim. Then all the survivors will have to live in socialism and can only enter into Gay marriage. And the statue of liberty will be replace with a statue of santa, Since santa gives out free stuff thats who we will honor. It all true, its on the internet and i heard someone else repeat it. Oh and part of it was on a bumper sticker too.

oh and we all remember Obama's meeting with Putin when he said he would be able to do more after the election. So if Obama wins he is going to hand over power to Putin and turn the US into east Russia. And i know for a fact this is true. My wife is Russian and there is a secret encrypted emails that go out from Putin to the Russians living here. Luckily i will be sparred since i am one of them now.
See how stupid both of my post sound. Thats how the other comments about what Obama will do sound to everyone else. And there is probably better chance of the shit happening i just made up then the conspiracy's from the rightIf people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

Tell him to not shack up with a greedy SOB and that shouldn't happen to him. But just in case always keep a damned good attorney on retainer. One of the more fair and best things Mr. Obama has done to date IMO is repeal the DADT in our military. That was just wrong policy, when gay men fight and die for god and country only to get kicked out upon return to the states because they might be gay even though they never acted upon it, thereby losing all and any benefits they earned. Well that's just wrong.....
